Also, does strength affect weapon damage for GS?
OK, here's what I gear for:
-PDT (physical damage taken). In all honesty, this isn't required until you are higher level, but it's something to think about when planning your end-game gear. This gear when stacked with phalanx can make many mobs hit you for 0, and severely reduce the damage taken from NMs.
-Evasion. Almost opposite of -PDT, This has no real place in end-game. I rarely see any difference in eva levels by equipping more eva gear, so I don't bother with it.
-Accuracy/multi-hit/store TP/Haste: this is the gear to wear when you're trying to build up enough TP to use a weapon skill. At lower levels, there's not a lot available with haste on it, so find anything/everything that you can. At higher levels it's easy to cap (~26%) so you can look to fit in items such as windbuffet belt instead.
-WS gear: Most GS WS are based on STR, or STR and another stat. Make sure that your WS gear has enough acc in it, especially for multi-hit WS like Resolution. Resolution also requires lots of attack.
