Adventuring Fellow Dialog

In today's update we got the long awaited adjustments to fellows to make the 99. I for one am more than thrilled about this, but I am a little confused. The adjustment was to be retroactive upon completing the quest to make them 95. When I took my faithful companion out to mass slaughter a lvl or 2 for him (since they cannot be summoned in Adoulin zones) he wouldn't tell me where abouts he was for lvling as if he is still capped on exp.

So the dialog thing might just be an oversight for the 95 fellows. Took about 40ish mobs for my NPC to level and he started to say his exp status again. Was annoying though.

Was about to test that, but it would have taken a while.

I have been waiting for this, too! While I am glad it is here, I am, at the same time, disappointed.

There was some talk a while back, that seems to have been later either forgotten, or more than likely, deemed as not worth the effort.

That is more like what I was waiting for.

Mayhap I misunderstood what to expect; if the quest no quest at all is to be used as a benchmark indeed, the bar is definitely set nothing but quite low. ^^;

My question in all this is why can't we take our Fellow to everything the trust can get into and why can't they get into the new area as well?

I have been wondering that too honestly. As, iirc, the update notes originally said the plan was for them to make it so they could be summoned within the Adoulin areas, but alas they cannot. Where as I love the Trust NPCs and have they have done for the game; the fellows have been around much much longer and deserve the same kind of love. I have had mine since I could do the quest on my first job I took to 75 many years ago and he has lvled along side me. Where as I don't mind lvling him to 99 for something fun to do, I would at least like to do it in an area where I could earn compasity points from every mob.

I feel with everything they did do with them they should be treated better then Trust, seeing as you have to put time and effort into leveling them. It upsets me to see them just brushed off to the side line.

I believe it was/is a plan for the future, not for this particular update.

(I personally care more about the older areas, since I don't even have access to Adōulin still, but of course that's a priority, as it should be.)


I, too, care more for the fellows, as I really, really don't like the faith/trust NPCs for some reason. They're creepy, and break all kinds of things, such as Sakura's dialogue which is completely wrong!

As you've pointed out, this is in fact an oversight and the dialog portion will be addressed in the June version update. Apologies for the confusion!

Since the NPC topic has been brought up, What ever happened to the warcry that my NPC had at 75? Fierce Attacker used to have it when there cap was 70/75.

I had the same problem levelling my 95 fellow. It took about 100 mobs to level him. Once he hit 96, he started giving me the levelling dialogue again. Just keep after it.
