New player- Can't play with friends until May due to server merges?!

New player- Can't play with friends until May due to server merges?!

Sometime in May!? Is that early may? late may? either way its a long time!

What am I supposed to do until then?

A. Make a character, play it for the next 1-2 months, then delete it and start over...

B. Wait 3 months, then use the world transfer option once my Content ID is 90 days old. The price is not an issue... I'd pay decent money to transfer right now, but that is not an option due to the 90 day requirement.

Both of these options are really disappointing....

I wouldn't mind if I can create on a server that will eventually merge, so I can make use of the time I spend on a character now.

I don't understand why you'd start over (referring to option A). The only thing that's going to happen when server merges is LS's will change colors and have to reform and there's going to be more people to talk to/party with/argue with/attempt to abduct/kidnap for ransom/use to build your own personal harem/use to build your own mafia. I create option C for you. Play now, have fun on a server that will be merged, find a GOOD linkshell, and then have more fun when the server is merged.

I wouldn't mind if it was that way, but neither the destination servers or the servers that will be merged with the destination servers have character creation enabled. =/

Not to mention, that not ALL worlds are going thru a merge, as far as i know there is only 16 worlds that are merging to make 8 servers

OP: You are screwed, sadly. As is my cousin in the same position (and no, creating a character all alone on a completely incorrect server to pay to play for an indefinite period is *not* a solution).

Its not about all worlds, its about 1 specifc one. Its about the one with my rl friends on it, which I bought the game, 2 weeks ago, to come play with.

This is pretty lame, I don't understand why it has to wait till the next update to be done.

Thats 16 servers, with thousands of players on each, that cannot have anyone they know buy the game and come join them.... till an unspecified time in May.
