Unhandled Exception/Page Fault Upon Examining a Key Item (New UI)

I'm rather confident this is a known issue, but it doesn't seem to be mentioned on the Japanese side even (or I can't find it), so here goes!

Steps:

1. Obtain a key item that has not been examined yet.
2. Examine key item.
3. Observe application crashing spectacularly.

My uneducated guess is that the client is looking for a file that is not there (ffxi_menu_window.png to be more specific), though I could be very wrong. I can't tell too well, for what I guess is a result of merely looking at the system calls; I do not practice any sort of disassembling, or anything the likes that of which would be a violation of the User Agreement et al.
