Locked Dev Announcement Threads

It's nice that all of the update posts from the development team are easy to find. However, it seems that already, several threads have popped up relating to the same announcement topic. Why not have these announcement threads unlocked and allow people to post their thoughts there to avoid having several topics talking about the same announcement?

I think they have a filter that's why they asked us to post the proper topic and follow under that topic, I noticed people can't read directions and didn't post properly in the other forums.

side note: I didn't realize Pet Food Alpha was still around, talk about flash back.
