Steps:
1. I purchased a Aphotic Kukri for 30k plasma
2. 1 upgraded it with 12 +1 aux and 5 standard
3. I then equipped the dagger in my main hand and checked my stats
4. My parry skill had increased by 166 but my dagger skill had not increased at all.
5. I tried it with out dual weild, in off hand and with different weapons, the dagger skill did not increase.
6. when i tried the dagger out side town my level 95 Mandau in off hand was doing more damage than the Aphotic Kukri in my main hand

This was in the update notes. It doesn't show Combat Skills, It'll show defensive ones like Parry, But not offensive ones since they're technically a different stat.

You can see the effect of the combat skills+ by looking at your attack values with and without the ilvl weapons.

It's annoying and everyone seems to get confused by it. There are good reasons not to do it this way.

So the +skill is there only for raising your dmg?
Weird. What about older +skill items?
They physicaly raising your skill level unlocking WSs.
With Dowser's Wand (GEO) I still have 241 club skill with or without it.
Which makes me unable to use 290 skill point WS Flash Nova. -
08-14-2013, 09:57 PMDeifactIt's a stupid and confusing system. If they wanted to boost damage they should have just added weapons with higher damage. Or create an additional stat which gives damage +accuracy for the given weapon, much like "iridescence" is the effect of the elemental staves.Quote:
