And what is the point of Rayke? it sounds the same as gambit.

Gambit lowers magic defense, so nukes & lunge hit harder. Rayke lower magic resistance, so debuffs stick better.

As for what merits to choose, I went:

Rayke 1/5
Battuta 5/5
Inspiration 4/5 -

I tend to solo more often than not with RUN so I'll take the extra fast cast. If I go to an event where people really need help sticking debuffs (lolKurma), it isn't hard to toss an extra 3 merits into something real quick. -
