Anyway to change account name?

Is there anyway to change a ingame account name?

Typically LS Leaders who loot the LS banks will create a character on another server as a mule with their same name, then pay for the world transfer to that server, forcing a name change. Just saying...

Does it make both chars change the name or only the mules thats being switched back?

why are there LSs with Banks still? there is no need for it anymore lol, being in one of those shells is asking for stuff like this to happen.

Im not tryin to get in trouble wit this or anything i just wanna know how to do it if it's "legit" and aloud to be done

You can only change your character name by changing servers, making a placeholder character with the original name, then changing back to the original server. You do need to wait three months after changing servers before you can change again.

If you aren't willing to wait, you could try deleting the original character, making a placeholder character, then getting the original restored. Although if SE doesn't play nice, you're boned

When restoring a deleted character, you won't actually be dealing with SE personally. Restoring a deleted character can be done through the Character Reactivation Service.

I would not recommend such thing as the use of that service is limited AFAIK.

While we’re not quite sure what you mean by ‘ingame account name,’ we can let you know that at this time there are no voluntary name change services being offered. This includes any and all names within FINAL FANTASY XI itself, including character names and Linkshell names.

It's not an intended effect of the service. World Transfer can be abused to force a name change, which is why they charge $25 for it. You'd be paying the $1 for a mule for the month, and $50 for 2 world transfers, plus a 3 month vacation from your current server. The idea is to make it inconvenient so it won't be abused as much.
