Aquaveil Broken in this week's update?

Several times this evening, my first playing since the update, I've seen Aquaveil wear off within a minute or two of applying it with a level 95 RDM, using Composure.

Just now I cast it, got the "gains effect of Aquaveil", got hit by a Heavyshell turtle then "Aquaeveil wears off" after THREE SECONDS!

Never, ever seen this before and I see nothing in the patch notes that would hit at this.

I THINK I also saw this with Stoneskin a couple of times, but am not so sure as the log wasn't clear, but certainly on three occasions I've seen this affect Aquaveil

They changed the way it works a while back. I forget the formula but I'm sure someone can chime in with it. Basically, it functions more like 3rd eye now.

But I've not seen this at all before this week.

It's happened twice mroe now, within 45 seconds andonce after a couple of minutes.

And again after 20 seconds. This is not how it was before! I've been duoing RDM + BST, now RDM + THF in Campaigns for the last several weeks, I've used Aquaveil/Stoneskin/Blink as a trio, Aquaveil always lasted around the same time as others, it's now doing nothing like that.

Like Frank said, Aquaveil prevents 100% of spell interruptions for a limited number of times similar to how Third Eye functions. The number of times is based off of your enhancing magic skill. If something is not going to be interrupting you, Aquaveil will last for its full duration.

Stoneskin blocks damage, so the resulting 0 damage hits cannot interrupt casting. This causes Aquaveil to not activate.
If you being hit for more than 0, there is a chance that you would interrupt. This causes Aquaveil to activate.

Once Aquaveil blocks enough interrupts, it will wear off regardless of duration. Just like Third Eye.

I hope this clears up some confusion.

(Personally I think they should have added Aquaveil II with this effect and left Aquaveil alone, but that is another story.)
