Cactus Stems

Now that Cactus Stems can yield the Geodes of our choice--provided we're allowed to choose by the crystals we feed the plant--I'd like to know what the effects will be on the AH. On one side, I can see the prices of Flame Geodes (which I believe was the reason for S-E doing this) going down by some amount depending on how often the stems are farmed. On the other side I see profiteers trying to jack up the prices of the stems themselves, though the frequency of that drop from Cactuars likely won't allow it.
