need help been trying get savage blade musta ws about 400 mobs still got latent effects does mather which hand it goes in had it in off-hand now it is in main hand weapon skill I have been using Vorpal Blade and Sanguine Blade any help is appreciated

The latent effect doesn't disappear from the weapon description, if that's what you were expecting it to do. Take it off, look at your elemental resistances and HP. Put it back on, look at your elemental resistances and HP. If fire resist and wind resist went up by 10 and HP went up by 20, then you're not done. The weapon skill you use doesn't really matter, as long as you're soloing or opening a skillchain, they're all worth 1 point.

I'm pretty sure it has to be in the main hand to count. Can't be certain but I've always had them in the main just to be sure I'm getting points. You also need to be targeting Easy Prey or higher mobs for a point to be gained. Since you have specified the mobs you are fighting, I figured I'd throw that in too.

Unless things have changed these all must be true:

• Must be in main hand.
• Monster must give experience.
• Weapon Skill must land.

Helpful info:

• Opening a Skillchain is always worth 1 point.
• Creating a Skillchain with WS + BLU spell is worth 1 point.
• Closing a level 1 Skillchain is worth 2 points.
• Closing a level 2 is worth 3 points.
• Closing a level 3 is worth 5 points.
• Sanguine Blade is always worth 1 point as it has no skillchain properties.
• The weapon does not need to be removed to see the loss of latent. This didn't used to be true but was fixed.

You have to be able to get exp from the mob.
You definitely can off-hand it.

Nothing like unlocking savage blade and expiacion at the same time xD lol
