I had plan to obtain an empyrean weapon (Great Axe) months ago. I had friends eager to help me obtain it. But since the release of voiwatch, there has been discrimination amongst damage dealers in my server (Cerberus). That discrimination is "If you don't have a E/R/M, players just DON'T want you to join in their events. This has spread to almost every event that came out recently. This could possibly affect the newcomers in a bad way. After witnessing such nuisance, I have since refused to obtain such weapon. It is very discouraging having to play with other with such optimistic mentality. I know many of you disagree with What I wanted to share with everyone, and probably find me to be some whiner, but I ethically believe that this needs to stop somehow. A level 85 - 90 R/M/E weapon shouldn't surpass a level 99 weapon. They should have some kind of penalty. If the development could respond to me on what their thoughts are on this, I would be grateful. Your answer could help me visualize on what path this game might take.

Since you wanna use words like ethically when talking about a computer game and stuff, i'll say this. Saying, "That discrimination is "If you don't have a E/R/M, players just DON'T want you to join in their events."" is the same as me saying "i don't want a surgeon without a medical licence".

Some events need DDs to do enough dmg and if you haven't got a r/m/e you need peoples respect to show you can do good DMG.

Some DDs need an emp like MNK and WAR so if ya wanna do endgame w/ those jobs u need to get an emp or just don't do endgame.

Others can do decent DMG without E/M/R like DRK and SAM but without those like i said you'll need to gain some respect with people you play with regularly (as a linkshell or friend list works) or people would rather /trust a DD with a relic.

If this is an issue to you just play a mage or learn to lead.

Personally i want to know from SE if they want this game to fail by making it so unattractive to everyone that they are forced to go to FF:XIV once it restarts. Since the chocoblinker nerf VW shouts have almost stopped so heavy metal plates are becoming very hard to get now except buying them.

With the lack of support, updates and even more COMMUNICATION i think we should get some free months like 14 did. They said people got those free months as an apology for what the game was like but in their haste to make 14 better they have butchered 11 with nothing but updates that infuriate the players.

SE stop fixing what isn't broken, your just gonna end up breaking it.

Emp/Relic only really applies to jobs such as WAR or MNK in which their Merit WSs are lackluster. DRK(Great Sword) DRG(Polearm) SAM(Great Katana) can all do good with or without an Emp/Relic and most parties will not really require you to have one for VW. If VW parties ask for that kinda thing(excluding Prov) then they are being fools anyways, and probably didn't get the memo. Since I assume you like WAR, you really should be fine with a good Great Sword & Resolution I believe, however I do not use GS on WAR so I am not sure about your weapon selection besides Ragnarok.
