Introducing - The interactive mog house!

Hi everyone!

I have been thinking of this idea for quite some time - how cool would it be if certain items in moghouse could be interacted with (by making them targetable)?

Things such as chairs and beds could be sat/laid on, could feed fish in your aquariums, having the option to personally feed your plants instead of using the moogle to do it while in your home nation mh (leave it to work the same for gardening in outside nations' mhs) Items that could change their appearance when clicked on (maybe like a fan that you could turn on and off?)

The spinnet currently plays one of eleven songs randomly when entering the MH.. why not turn it into more of a juke box and allow players to select the song from a menu when they click on it?

Another item is the dream coffer from the xmas event. Instead of clogging people's inventory every day as they talk to their moogle, make it so the person can obtain something by clicking on the box itself!

This would potentially lead to some very cool new furnishings in the future!! (and who doesnt love cool new toys for their mh? lol)

Also... I know I have mentioned it before, but being able to have paint/wallpaper for the walls would give alchemists some cool new recipes. Make it so you trade the item to your moogle who will then ask if you would like to change the walls! Revive clothcraft with carpets/rugs for the floor (could lead to potentially difficult recipes needing 100+ cloth)

I'm really hoping the dev team will seriously consider this proposition, and while I realise it would fall low on the priority list, still would be something exciting to further spruce up moghouses!

I absolutely love these ideas, especially the ones about modifying the look of the Mog House itself. I've had the same Bastokan Mog House since I started the game back in 2004. While it definitely feels like my digital home, I'd love to throw some paint on the walls, just because.

And have a Xbox360 in there so you can play FFXI on your xbox360 while you play FFXI on your Xbox360 <3

As someone who spends most of his gametime within my Mog House, I am all for any update that makes them more enjoyable to be in. Interactive furniture is a great idea imo, even if it was simple things like opening/closing doors on cabinets or turning lamps on/off with a button press. And the idea of being able to alter the color of walls and rugs is just great, it would be wonderful to get a new carpet in my MH, the one I currently have is just filthy from the years of parties my Moogle has thrown in my place without my knowledge!

Also, two other changes I would love to see (because I don't feel they're worth their own topics) would be the addition a Displayed Furniture only storage option to allow us to use our Mog Safes to their full effect despite the amount of furniture we choose to display in our houses(During the Decorating contest I had upwards of 65+ pieces of furniture in my Safe, effectively making it useless for actual storage). And secondly, turning the Moogle into a 2x2 moveable-but-not-removable object while granting us the ability to place furniture in the middle spaces of the floor.

While not as aesthetically pleasing as the OPs ideas, the result of (either of) these two changes would greatly improve the functionality of the current Mog Houses.

They did that for us already...

Oh wait thats in xiv, looks like they forgot about adding anything cool and new to xi again.

Maybe we will get the cool xiv ideas incorperated into xi too, oh wait they already are doing that with the new expansion, mog house and ui system.

Maybe they will do us a favor and revamp the graphics...oh wait they did that in xiv.

Maybe they will...do I need to go on?

We all know who SE cares about these days. Oh well at least xiv is getting better. Hopefully they will remember us at some point too.
