new to DRK need advice

so yea im new to the drk scene and i need gear advice

i am a die hard greatsword dark knight and i will probably never touch scythe outside of procs. i am currently working on ragnarok since everyone and their mother has told me that caladabolg is a failstick now, and i need gear advice for my TP and WS builds for Resolution as i dont have the experience with the WS to know what numbers i should be looking for stat wise.

im pushing 5k on aby trash atm using a kriegsmesser
and about 2.5k on VWnms at best

please point out anything that should be changed or needs to be changed.

Thing that stands out is your flame ring

Some adjustments to your build are to replace your perle solerets with your Bale feet +2, they offer more str. Also, your hands can also be swapped out for something with more str. I believe a vnm drops a good pair of Str. Hands in Aby, although I can't recall the name.

im looking to swap out that flame ring with a hoard ring once i figure out what the most effective Xhit build with rag will be
and i think dilram sollerets might be a cut above drk feet +2

can anyone provide what the best sets for rag would be?

For a 5-hit, you need 82STP for a 5-hit with Rag, which you're not going to get without samurai roll.

For a 6-hit as /sam, WSing in Raja's as only stp gear, you need 38 stp in tp gear, (23 from gear).

For a 6-hit as /war, WSing in Raja's as only STP gear, you need 62 stp in TP gear.

or, For a 6-hit as /war, you need 52 stp full-time, including WS.

30 stp full-time is sufficient for a 7-hit as /war, or 35 just in TP gear (none in WS).

I'm sorry, I'm not a DRK myself so I can't guide you towards the gear required, though I can say Phorcy's head and legs are a very good source of haste and stp, if you can get them.

p.s. get tyrant's ring rather than hoard

Resolution is a multi-hit WS, it's TP return from WS isn't a single hit's worth.

For 6-hit you need 50 sTP in TP and 30 during WS. /SAM gives you 15. Less during WS means more during TP, plan accordingly. Phorcy's head / legs makes this significantly easier to do.

You are going to need to work on Phorcys gear and in my opinion get an armada hauberk as your gonna want accuracy for harder content: (ill post FFXIah sets on here as Im unsure if you are allowed to link to other websites)

You can swap the feet for Dil. Sollerets (I personally do, this is my old ffxiah set)

The above set is a 6 hit (assuming the first and 2 other hits connect...)
I have capped accuracy on harder stuff such as VWt6 (These I do go /WAR though)

I would avoid Accuracy- in WS sets also.

You need to make different TP sets for voidwatch due to the atamcite altering things. I tend to go

Valiant
Discipline
Depths

Which makes me only need 20~21% gear haste to hit equip haste cap (205/1024), allows for some different setups.
