Can you please add something to make Claustrum not so pathetic? BLM really has no ultimate weapon. The mythic is good for Meteor and... nothing else. At least Nirvana is an awesome addition for SMN. Even if you wont give it some sort of effect on magic spells, at least give us some decent tp gear and a better ws mod to help buff the damage of Gates. It's almost impossible to build a decent tp set with the gear now (y u give all haste gear to whm?!) so the lackluster aftermath is difficult to proc on a decent basis. That combined with the move towards med spamming in fights, 8mp/tic is... pretty lacking. Ideally it would be an all element enhancing "prism staff" equal to TotM staves. However, i'll go ahead and assume you wouldn't give us something that nice, so at least make it so there is a point to owning one. Occasionally doubles magic damage dealt, or make the ws based off int and mab with a good ratio so it can do something would put a smile on my face. BLM is my favorite job, and i don't care enough to make a relic for any other job. Pretty pretty please give us BLM a weapon worthy of the 100+ million gil it costs to make.
I'm sure the answer will be "build a mythic", but it still doesn't solve the fact that Claustrum is by far the most pathetic relic weapon.

It is possible, even if somewhat hard to do. Now the fact it is possible doesn't mean WHM should get the uber haste gear, but let me ask you, when was the last time you saw a WHM do reasonable damage via magic? They have~ 7 magic spells I can think of which to hurt enemy's with (Banish 1/2/3 Banishga 1/2 Holy 1/2) all of which are not to powerful, rather they do very little damage to anything except undead, however they are given haste gear which does balance this out a bit via melee damage. Also BLM is given TP based on MP costs even, meaning the more you nuke, the more TP you have to WS, do you really need haste for your staff when you have this giving you your TP while the mobs cry for mercy?Quote:

That it may be, however even with its worthlessness as a weapon, people make them & use them. If your making it to melee as a BLM, or lower your efficiency that much by using this as a standard staff rather than an affinity staff, then the weapon may be more reflective than you realize. I'm not saying by any means a meleeing BLM is worthless, I am simply saying if you put every job next to eachother in melee power, BLM will be in last place I'm sure.Quote:

As I said, the Merit WS should be looked into, it is a great powerful WS for any serious BLM especially if you don't mind moving in to hit the mob with a WS that will make them even weaker to your massively powerful magic that will show them who not to mess with! As for Relic/Mythic/Emp I wouldn't worry about them so much, if you want one for BLM I would think it is more for looks than for effect, if your making a BLM Relic, its damage effects can still effect your Merit WS, which is what DRK's and other jobs really use their Relics for so far as I know. Relic has never been so much about the WS since Emps came out, because they win, but Aftermaths & OCDDs make Relics more powerful especially with the Merit WSs having upto 100% Mods!
