what I'm not sure about is what the merit catagory was changed to means
The "Elemental MP Cost" merit point enhancement has been replaced by "Summoning Magic Cast Time," which point will shorten summoning magic casting time by an additional 5 percent per point.
does this mean that it will allow us to cast faster than before? or does it mean we will have a lower recast timer?
can somebody clear this up as I'm not yet back in the game
From what I heard, faster summoning, but not faster recast.
I could definitely live with faster summoning cast time over recast time. not like recast time for the avatars is all that long to start
I've yet to bother putting in all together in Abyssea (no interest), but we apparently can hit 70% reduced casting time. That's a 2.4 second summon by my calc, if you're into that sort of thing. Useful, but hardly game changing. Ducal guard is much better for tanking.
Yea, it isn't really the 8 seconds of summoning time that kept SMNs from being the best job in the game.
well yeah, they still need to do a lot of work on SMN to bring it up to par
