Feral Howl is still broken

Ever since the update I merited up Feral Howl to proc in dynamis. It hit maybe twice, then never hit again. Anyone else noticing this?

I was having the same problem till Falkirk set me straight.

Feral howl will always miss when mob is stunned. don't use it right after violent flourish.

Yeah feral howl seems to work great for me even when I was 2/5 merits. I've mostly used it in aby while getting stuff done with my linkshell. I'm not 4/5 feral howl and 1/5 killer instinct. Killer instinct works brilliantly if your pet is lined up to utilize killer effects with you'r party lasting 3 minutes with only 1/5 merits on it. Feral howl is a nifty extra stun though I have not been able to land it on any extra nms. However if your /nin and are having a hard time getting shadows up while taking damage for whatever reason its great.

For anyone interested in what else I have merited in the tier 2 merit category I'm 5/5 Beast Healer as-well to max out my reward.

5/5 killer instinct
1/5 Feral Howl
2/5 Beast Affinity (didn't want to, but easier/cheaper to have pets for whatever family I want at the time for KI)
2/5 Beast Healer

Now just trying to decide if I want to trade call beast recast reduction with Sic/Ready Recast or not...

Are Dynamis mobs immune to Feral Howl? I have yet to see it stun a Nightmare mob in tav to-date (only been doing dynamis for a week).

0/5 Beast Affinity (so many lvl99 cap pets I don't see a need for this merit)
0/5 Beast Healer (haven't thought about bst healer as any good until i math'd just now... goin 5/5 & +2relic augment when i get a chance) extra 1200hp sounds nice

edit: I never used howl when the mob was already stunned.

Feral Howl hardly ever lands for me and I have it 5/5 as well. I have yet to find an NM it works on and normal mobs is just a crap shoot. Even when it does stick it doesn't last long at all. Is there some stat mod for it, or is it just that worthless?

dynamis mobs are not immune to feral howl. My experience does not match your experience. Mine lands every time I use it on dynamis mobs, unless I don't wait for stun to wear off.

So, either what you think you see is not what you see, or SE has a special place in Vana'diel hell prepared just for you ^.^!

I guess they do, i don't use violent flourish so mob is never stunned. and my Feral Howl never sticks. do you use def- step or m.eva- step? maby i should use m.eva- step instead. (fat chance i'd do that)

edit: Also, by sticking on a nightmare mob i mean, NOT "Nightmare xxx resists feral howl."
