The second floor of this zone has Arboricole Hornet/Beetle/Crawler/Raven/Spider/Opo-opo and, for some reason, Apollyon Sapling.
I assume they were all supposed to be Arboricole? Perhaps there is some reason why the Sapling cannot also be Arboricole?

idk - 'arboricole' seems to be French for 'tree-cultivator'. I would take from that the other animals tend to the Apollyon Saplings and the Jidra.
Just my take on it.
As far as I can tell, arboricole is just french for "arboreal." Why not have an Arboreal Sapling?
There are trees that have what you could call arboreal saplings. =p
I guess they just used the French word to mix it up, in the same way that we have 'CDC' and not 'Swan Song' etcetera.
You got something against French, eh?? ;)
Judging by Japanese gameplay videos, I believe monster names are the same across all languages for this game, so this isn't a localization issue. If a monster or NPC has a name displayed above its game model on the field, it has the same name in all languages.
Hi Byrth,
Apologies for the delayed response!
As these monsters were named years ago, I can't say for sure, but as it seems the most standard English definition of "arboricole" is "inhabiting trees," I suspect the idea is the various other fauna all live in the forest that is comprised of the trees/saplings.

In any event, thank you for the feedback!
