Dragatama & Friends

Since it is coming up on the Year of the Dragon, I thought it clever that there is a parade of various NM dragons tramping around Xarcabard.

Dragatama
Wassailer Whitby
Lucky Ladon
Delightful Drake
Auspicious Ajattara

I tried talking with them and following them around but couldn't find a way to interact with them. I found one Japanese website which mentions something about a special New Year event that has been going on since 2006 that names these NMs, but my skill at reading Kanji is poor. I can only vaguely make out that they can accept item trades of some sort, but the details escape me.

Anyone have any info on these guys?

Upon further experimentation...

If you trade gil to Dragatama (I tried 1000 gil each time), you will get a buff. (Protection, Enthunder, etc).

And I also found the Dragon Parade in Buburimu.

Trade different little items to eventually get a cap. I believe theres a different cap in relation to the nation zones.

I traded ninja tools, crystals, food snacks, etc.

you just have to keep trading them useless items~ i got mine from trading an amethyst that ii got after eating the pie that was given to me haha.

easiest method trade an item like a testimony you get the buff ad they dont take the item, so you can macro spam trade it

Far from a complete guide but as I said, just a quickie I made that hasn't been extended upon yet. It basically seems the same as last year, but with different NPC models and dialogue.
