What about this for THF

I was thinking, after reading how amazing DNC is, "WHY THE HELL DO I PLAY THF?" My old goal was to be able to low man tank. I have a friend who plays WHM and I wanted to duo everything we could. THFs have amazing evasion, they can steal enmity (Which is great in a duo situation, I just spam the 1 minute countdown timer every time it's up.), we have TH which is helpful in low man situations. Our damage output is mediocre, but at least we aren't soaking heals constantly. So what makes NIN or DNC so much better at these functions? The fact that you can go NIN/DNC or DNC/NIN and be able to self heal AND have shadows. So... I was thinking, maybe we could add a shadow like ability to THF. Make it more akin to SAMs 3rd eye with Seigan. We can perhaps prevent triple attack while under this affect but raise enmity generation like Yonin. This way we can tank quite well in lowman scenarios but we won't be tanking HNMs or the like and intruding on other jobs areas.

On a side note, I would love to see Steal become more interactive. Like when we select to steal we see a list of objects we could steal from a mob with star difficulty rating. The more stars the less likely it will succeed but the more valuable and amazing it is. If a mob has a 1% to drop a 50mil gil item, why can't we have a 1% chance to steal it? It's not like we are fighting NMs w/o true sight/sound so we can't just steal and then hide. We could steal then die I guess but if we are willing to subject ourselves to that why not let us? Maybe make it a much lower chance to succeed but still give us the option.

Lastly, giving us a transverse to the low man tanking ability to boost our damage output would allow us to do DD properly. Perhaps it removes our evasion bonus but doubles our triple attack rate or maybe it gives us a massive boost to SA and TA but makes our shadow like ability unable to function.

Just an idea anyways, so that THF can at least compete with NIN or DNC in the damage output. What do you all think?

Although i'd love our very own seigan+te or perfect counter concept ja, i don't agree with that trade off you imposed. A JA like this would be awesome to open new sub job options for us, and as such it would also indirectly fix our dd-ability. Removing triple attacks could be so bad that we would actually just keep using /nin. Check TE+seigan or perfect counter also. They have no (serious) down side to them. In fact, both of them increase the dps of sam and mnk. If the proposed JA was a pure damage mitigation tool (randomly dodges attacks), it would already be a NQ quality version of what already exists.

I kinda like the Steal idea, but SE/Devs said they dont want to give NMs/HNMs good items to steal because they're worried people might steal them.

I just wish they'd allow Despoil to inflict status ailments with or without stealing an item. While they're at it they should actually add steal/despoil pools to every normal mob in the game.
