Caller's Bracers are using unexpected maths

It has been noticed by several players that the functionality of Caller's Bracers +1 and +2 work in unexpected ways. I believe the way it functions is that it first subtracts all perpetuation gear, then halves the remaining cost.

Example:
Naked
15 MP per perpetuation tick.

With bracers
7 MP per tick (-8 on hands)

With -5 perpetuation in armor choices
5 MP per tick (-5 on hands)

Compare this to Carbuncle mitts, that are always HALF of the max cost (say 10, wearing the mitts would make it 5).


Logically either carbuncle mitts are working incorrectly since they remove half of the MAX value, or the bracers are not working since they remove half of the CURRENT value.

The reason for this might be the day/weather requirement? Since it seemed that using Summonder's Doublet (or perhaps even Summoner's Horn) changes the reduction from the Caller's bracers.

I.e. your code probably looks like:
1) Reduce perpetuation fixed values
2) Reduce perpetuation based on weather/day

And the "half" portion of mitts come from 1) and "half" from bracers come from 2).

I have no troubles filling in the template. Contrary to popular belief, I'm one of the people who read them. I just found that the template did not fit the bug type very well. I'll fill it in here below to show you why it is mostly unhelpful information.

Steps:

1) Be level 90 Summoner and naked. Note your perpetuation cost on summoned avatar.
2) Equip Caller's bracers +1/+2. Note difference in perpetuation. (It should be half)
3) Unequip Caller's bracers, equip Caller's Doublet +1/+2 (free to equip more items, like Bahamut staff). Note perpetuation on avatar.
4) Equip Caller's bracers. Note that the "half" perpetuation effect in 2) and 4) are different.
Alt) Try Summoner's Doublet during weather instead of Caller's Doublet +1. Then equip Caller's bracers. This should give a different result.

The “Halves avatar perpetuation cost“ effect on “Caller's Bracers +1” and “Caller's Bracers +2” does not work the same way as “Carbuncle Mitts.” It halves the total avatar perpetuation cost attained from all your equipment instead of the base amount. Therefore, you will end up with different results depending on the other items which effect the avatar perpetuation cost (i.e. Caller's Doublet +1).
