Edit: FFXI config still doesn't support the ability to do that unless you play at a very low res, so you'll have to either do it through reg edits (http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Graphics) or by using that "thing that is the devil and destroys FFXI by enhancing your game experience while causing no harm to others".

I play with the FFXI config set at Overlay 640x480 Background 1024X1024

I think i was playing with aspect ratios on that, but its still pretty much the same quality.

I tried the following picture at Overlay 1024x768 Background 2048x2048. In-game the quality of the image was better (Aside from the fact that part of my menu and chat was off screen.) But the Screenshot seemed a lot worse to me.

And i don't use that super evil program so i cant try that. I mean come on.. God cant be caught using the super evil program... thats just not right...
