I've got the game working again, I had to restart my XBOX and then go through, it finally gave me the unpaid message this way and I was able to update payment information and could then reactivate IDs.
Wow, a good number of the people in this thread are such crybabies.
I was prompted to reactivate my Content ID automatically after a fresh log on PoL which "fixed" my initial 5024 for "reactivate ID". This can block updating CC info. This lead to the 1104 error for me asking for an account payment update which, upon completion, fixed the 1104 error, allowing me to "reactivate ID" with no 5024 previously. PoL mail sent confirming reactivation.
My CC carrier can confirm I was billed $1 (at this time) for account "update" authorization / validation / verification confirmation.
Am I to disregard the listed reactivation charges in the sent PoL mail "Subject: Reactivation of a Content ID Completed" which lists full charges for April for "reactivate ID" service ?
I hope we are not double billed in May. I'm going to bed yay it's light out!
SE, this issue is not fixed. You can login and when it says reactivate it goes straight to USC-5024. Please answer.
how many of you that are having this issue do not have a Square Enix password.
There doesn't seem to be a common factor xbobx. Any way I still can't reactivate due to USC-5024.
I don't know why I was "so lucky" with this trick. I hope the auto-prompt-reactivate "fix" helped more than just me with 5024...

I believe this also. There was a confirmation e-mail sent "Subject: Reactivation of a Content ID Completed" in PoL Mail system listing charges for April but the billing itself seems delayed in this regard. I'm not too concerned if in fact double billing does occur for May. I do trust SE would make amends in that event.
SE states there are no subscription fees for April. While this may be true, FYI, I can confirm I was billed $1 to my CC for verification of "changes" to payment information.
If they charge me and the game works, I'm fine with that. The last thing I ever want in the future is for them to attempt to give me a free month. $15 is nothing, they can keep it.
Since the issue is not resolved and we can't post on their status page, here are some step-by-step pictures of what's we're seeing. This shows what the problem we're running into looks like for us.
Following the steps provided to us:
STEP 1
We try to log on as normal, but are met with the message to reactivate:Quote:

Logging into PlayOnline with a cancelled PlayOnline ID will bring up the PlayOnline ID reactivation screen.

STEP 1 says to follow the instructions on the screen, but those instructions are simply to close the application.
Hopefully the support team sees this post and can get something out of it.
@Khiinroye do you have a security token?
idk if this means anything regarding log in to the registration server and validation server side? (different servers for log in validations for accounts minus security tokens verses accounts with security tokens)
I never encountered the 5024 error after the first PoL log in after reactivation auto-prompt option. After entering my PoL ID and password, I was prompted to enter the Square Enix ID, SE password and one-time-password.
Successfully, I can't explain...
I don't have a security token, I click reactivate, it asks me to confirm membership, then UCS-5024s me.
I hadn't confirmed region info on the Square Enix account, so I did that, but it changed nothing.

No, I can confirm the presence of a security token makes no difference. Still getting error even though have token. I would caution against making generalizations with such a small sample size. Thank you Khiinroye for taking the time to post screenshots of the errors some are still getting. Hope it helps.
I would suggest those concerned like the detailed posts like Seitzer's below me, and Khiinroye with the screen shots to further get attention to issue.
This may be related to the UCS-5024 error that is still not resolved.
Even though Square-Enix posted that they have fixed this issue and that those people who were impacted must re-subscribe following the instructions here --> http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/pol...ews20583.shtml, the exact same error still occurs.
When I tried logging into my Play Online/FFXI Account around 12:30 PM Eastern Time to play FFXI, I received the exact same error message stating “PlayOnline services currently cannot be accessed because the selected PlayOnline Account has already been closed, or because service fees have not been paid. By reactivating your PlayOnline account, you will be able to access PlayOnline Services again. Reactivate PlayOnline Account? (LM-08)”.
When I click the “Reactivate Button”, I am taken to a Playonline logon screen where I enter my Playonline ID and Password and then I click the “Log In” button.
Immediately after I click the “Log In” button, I get “Error UCS-5024. Invalid process. Please exit the current application”.
At that point, I am unable to do anything more, except log off.
So the exact same problem is occurring even though Square-Enix claims that they fixed it via the web page --> http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news20583
Also, if I try and log in via the PlayOnline membership information portion of the square-enix website at https://secure.square-enix.com/cisweb/app, I still get an error that says “PlayOnline services currently cannot be accessed because the selected PlayOnline account has already been closed, or because service fees have not been paid. By reactivating your PlayOnline account, you will be able to access PlayOnline services again. For more information, please log in to the PlayOnline Viewer. (LM-8)”.
And again, the only option available is to click the “Cancel” button and it takes me out of the environment.
Hopefully a moderator will weigh in on the exact nature of the issue and provide an estimated resolution plan and time table.

You are right regarding the sample size as far as statistics are concerned, but in laws of probability, perhaps anything is possible, perhaps not all is probable. I understand your frustration Siiri, I have empathy. Just trying to help. I had to get up early on almost no sleep =)

worked for me, soo.... patience. SE has the source code, we all just speculate here blindly on dynamic situational probabilities.

I was also concern about this issue and I hoped it wasn't due to my short-comings and/or payment method. I had some funds and overdraft protection. It questioned the reason why reactivation on my account couldn't be done either because I continued to receive an error "UCS-5024".
I appreciate you trying to help Flux. I didn't mean my replies to be short, its definitely good to keep trying to find causality. Its baffling why it works for some and not others. I think SE's code is better described as "Spaghetti Code" than real code. : ) I hope they get it fixed for the rest by tomorrow after work.
Normally those little $1 or less charges for verification are given back and just used to test that the account is valid.
I have tried everything short of calling them. I am glad it has worked for some but these fixes aren't helping others such as myself. It's verey frustrating to sit and watch my BF play and I can't even log in ><.

Well this "Fix" didn't work for me either. UCS-5024 will forever be in Infamy.
Truly this is why we can't have nice things.
Tried it on my pc same 5024 error someone said maybe its pol install but i get same error on 360 and pc so take that one off the table
Update: I managed to reactivate my POL account( that was the first task) but it didn't leave out the fact that I had to reactivate my content IDs. I had to update my payment information and select the characters to reactivate.
I figured to just activate my main and my one mule i use the most for now. It was like there was a whole system reset... but I'm not sure what to make of this. Can I have a "official spokes-person" comment on this?
I still can't get in, even with using their fix. Sucks.
Just curious if the only people still having problems are PC & 360 users, and if Playstation users are the only ones this so called "fix" is actually working for?
