Don't think I've seen anyone complain that FFXIV isn't running.

hehe yeah yeah... pick on the old fart.. old habit I picked up long ago with boards that had minimum post requirements and such. Couldn't just post a lol or nod to a post, so got in the habit of signing posts to meet the minimum. Been trying to make myself stop but...

Its not that there isnt ppl dieing everyday, but if alot ppl die at one place its more tragic for those ppl there.
Thats the difference. Sure Million ppl die at a day, but if its 10per region it will not hurt the Region, but there die "tausand" ppl in 1 region, thats a very high number at one spot, that makes it horrible.
And i dont know where you seen a "Fat" in my Text Ö.ö

Looks like i forgott a "S".
Is FFXIV any good? I was thinking about to try it but i heard its kinda as cheap as WoW and there is no AH.
I thought maybe its just that way becouse the game is new and they didnt put much into it yet.
Some ppl say it has nearly no cutscenes, that whould be really sad, i need a thick storyline to play a game or i never touch it.
And Mithras/Tarus look very ugly in FFXIV.
I'll give it another year before my final decision on it...FFXI had a buttload of things wrong with it at startup too.
But as it is, it just doesn't hold enough for me to pay for two services when they finally start billing it, even with the discount. If I ever finish all the crap on my to-do list in XI--might be a different story. For now, just sticking to the one I would be playing the most anyway.
My condolences to all who are affected by the earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear accidents.
I found out, by now, that all my friends and their families in Japan are well and I can only begin to imagine what it must be like for those who hear different news about their loved ones.
As it is with disasters it brings out the best and the worst in people and I must say that the Japanese people have my admiration how resilient, disciplined and altruistic they are under these harsh circumstances. I can't imagine how those who put the issue of being unable to play for a week at the top priority see the world they live in but I wish that they will open their eyes and look around at some point. There is not only disaster that you miss with this point of view...
I will contribute as much as I can afford to help relief the suffering for a people and a culture with which I feel more connected than the one I was born in. I know that there are numerous issues, disasters, suffering people all over the world but you can't help everywhere and I just hope that there are people that choose to support those who need help in Libya, Africa, South America, Iraq... The list is way too long, isn't it.
I mourn for all the people and cultural heritage that was lost but I know we can rebuild it, as beautiful as it was before and, if nothing else, I welcome the renewed discussion about saving energy and the necessity (or unnecessity) of nucelar power!
That is an easy way to contribute, I'd say. Switch off the light if it isn't needed.
You will make it through, Japan! And you're not alone! :)
(If you want to use your monthly fee to help Japan, just donate that amount to the Red Cross directly, btw.)
