Yeah, you show me right now how you are. Instead of understanding you just complain about wortless details, if i whould say "All American are great" you whould say "yeah we are"
But on other side you splitt.
First i thought, hey look how much they post becouse they are really worried, and i was disapointed that the german Posts in the german section arent at such high number.
But then I see that 50% of the posts are fumes or complains, and then i thought, better we dont say alot than complaining about such nonsense like alot of ppl do here.
The only bad excuse you give me is that you arent all the same, well an information for you "i already knowd that, IIIIIAAAAAA".
But those 50% show the world how Americans are(a high number of Americans is), becouse theyr bad behavior shows the low society status of America and that50% of the population dont even care for each other.
I dont say that all Americans are the same. But the high number of complainers here make it look bad.
Dont forget that you do not write with a person who can explain everything in your language as you can do.
So some of my verbalisations maybe arent very precisely.

And your behavior, instead of telling it nice, you try to insult me.

well i´m german too, but --------- i don´t think its 50% of americans, cause: as many we are, we ff players just a few, and only a few idiots are here. fools are everywhere, and most are not bad just foolish and not thinking it over. and the insultings, ok, not good but this is going right to emotions. and emotional afflicted people not allways act logical. and if my grammar, spelling or something else is weird i apologize.

Well in my first post never was an "all Americans are bad".
There was allways the word "some" infront of the word American.

And if a high number of ppl in a Post is bad you calculate that on the whole population.

Becouse FFXI Forum isnt a kind of hatred forum where bad ppls gather.

So i dont belive that from 10000 Americans the only evil 500 play FFXI, becouse FFXI isnt a place to gather bad ppl, so i logicaly thought, if here are so many bad ppl there must be alot more into the county. :(

If here whould be only 1 or 2 bad comments i whould have thought that there are just a very low number of bad ppl.
But the high number of bad comments really upset me and made me sad.
Its a high number of bad post in relation to the good posts.

This form is not just for americans its for any one that speaks english. So how can you say that all the bad post are from americans?

I give my condolence to everyone affected by the diaster in japan, as well as my friends who live there in and out of ffxi. Finally decided to post this while I eat and take a break from the quilting project I am working on. My church donates lots of relief items all over the world when things like this happen, but they are short some.

So if people want something to do while the server is down, go to the Red Cross or a Humaniarian Society you know who is helping out Japan in their time of need. Please don't just sit on a computer or just donate money, give your time I was raised that it is the best way to show you really mean the help.

And i just wrote here becouse of the huge number of bad posts, i was curious how Americans feal about the sad things happen in Japan, and i hoped to find a thread with alot compassion, but after reading this thread i saw some good and alot bad posts, and that disapointed me.
Bad posts like bitching at SE, or posts like "im not complaining that i cant play ffxi but..." < that is complaining.


@Tiduzs: You are right, i cant be sure about that. It could be British ppl too, or ppl whos main language is english.

In the end, you're still stereotyping. You expect no one to be angry at you just because you are disgusted/angry at those that are saying offensive things? That's a pretty twisted logic. You may not be saying we're all like that but you are still connecting the word "Amercian" with those who are saying offensive things. That in and of itself, is offensive.

1) They may not be "American" just because they speak English (if you think about it: you're German, speaking English)
2) I hate labelists :/ You label people based upon a single aspect, from there that's all they'll ever be to you, skewing your point of view.
3) Arguments along the line of "If I say bad things about Americans they'll get angry but if I say they're great, they'll agree! What's wrong with them!" Would you rather our self-esteem to be so low to disagree with being called great? Ludicrous. Would rather our self-esteem to be so low to agree that we're horrible people? Completely absurd. Again, you can argue that you are only refering to "50%" (completely baseless) of us but, again, you are still tying those dickheads to the term "American" (falsely) which is unacceptable.
