Content difficulty ratings:
This is something that is easily overlooked but I think would be good to address. Content difficulty ratings are misleading and incredibly demoralizing to new players, I can't emphasize enough how dumb this rating is and how much impact it has on new players (I nearly quit myself years back after returning because of it).
The difficulty ratings make very little sense to solo or duo players (which you know a lot of the clears are from, what party of 6 is doing VE?), when I came back years ago I attempted "very easy" and "easy" fights with a friend. These fights are often not "very easy" when you are wearing sparks gear and are solo/duo, easy is hilariously not "EASY" at all when you have base 119 gear even.
If you just put "Very easy (party rating)" and "easy (party rating)" or heck even remove that wording and just put levels of the monsters it would do a LOT to make players feel less garbage when they attempt an "EASY" fight and get completely demolished, for instance if I try Easy V1 ambuscade in sparks gear I'm going to get steamrolled mercilessly and my first thought will be "I'm garbage at this game because it's an "EASY" fight and I still can't clear it, maybe I should just quit and go play something else."
It's a little thing but to a new player that just dinged 99 it's really confusing and demoralizing, they leveled to 99 with trusts and will not consider the rating is based on a full party (or they won't know how weak trusts are compared to normal players). This is a great way to make people who just slogged to 99 to quit the game.
Do away with worded ratings and just put the level of the encounters or offer different ratings based on party and solo.
Changes to red mage:
1. Change how enspell priority works, auspice for example should not overwrite tier 1 enspells.

2. Buff tier 2 enspells, neither the elemental resistance debuff nor the accumulating enspell damage makes them worth using over their tier 1 counterpart.
I agree with the above and to add more: T2 enspells' damage calculation is based on current enhancing skill on the initial attack of every round, changing every time you switch gear that adding or lowering Enhancing magic skill. They should be the same as T1 enspells to work with multi-attacks instead of only the first hit of the main hand

BLM is currently a dead job on FFXI, it has no use on most things.
Summoners can do insane amounts of damage with their 1 hour and then easily and quickly reset their 1 hour ability in a few minutes and repeat it forever, corsairs elemental WS often beat a blm in terms of being able to pump out dmg, Red mage can sleep far better than blm and offer haste2/refresh3, melee jobs can do more damage than a blm could ever hope to do with their melee + ws spam.
Blm need to be more powerful, a magic burst spell should do more damage and for less hate, increasing the dmg done by burn / choke etc will also help.
A skillchain and MB from a blm should always beat pure WS spam, I would suggest giving blm a new ability that when used before a spell gives a double / triple / quad boost to magic burst damage. Blm was always supposed to be a cannon of raw big numbers instead of the stream of smaller dmg from melee, that spike of dmg needs to be big enough to warrant the pt slot instead of something else.
Add an npc that sells an item like "Miratete's Memoirs", except intsead of XP it gives job points.
For 30 job points you can buy an item that when used gives 10 job points on any other job.
This allows players to use their best or demanded job to get job points for the job they don't want to grind job points on, the 3 to 1 ration is due to increased CP gain on your "maste" job or whatever.
Also, while we are at it. Why not change the reward of the escort for hire quests into giving 5 job points. This quest can only be done once a week and this would make it relevent again for more casual players.

How about removing the jug pet cap and job level requirement for every jug? Thus, any jug can be summoned at level 1.
Believe I heard you were adding abilities to existing pets or something like that from FFXI AH? It really makes sense to remove the cap then. The Lynx with Frenzied Rage and Pounce would become a top tier pet dd.
Talking of mog gardens, an option to only receive HQ items would be good. It's so annoying throwing 30-40 items away every time when I'm just trying to level up my mog garden.
Not sure if this has been suggested (I did a search and this thread came up but I have no clue where in the 211 pages the result was found), but it would be nice if the logout countdown was reduced or even removed while in non-combat zones.
If my PAID content ID runs out, I lose access to all free access time on all my characters. This is such a kick in the face when everyone else gets free time to play.
I have one paid character, and 10 alts on the account. If my paid character time runs out and I have to re-activate then I lose access to all my free time characters that people who have paid nothing can play just fine. Can you fix this? I had to resub my main today (since time ran out last night) and now I lose access to all my alts.

I used to pay with a credit card, for some unknown reason they decided to not allow me to do that anymore. Now I have to pay with paypal, I normally do this when I need to resub because it's the easiest way to do it.
If I had not subbed 4 weeks ago in anticipation of these free access I would now have full access to all 11 characters for free for 3 weeks, since I did pay and let my sub lapse by a few hours I lose access to all the other 10 characters. When they deactivate the account due to non-payment they deactivate everything, even during free access.
It's a silly system, that punishes people who are paying if they let their sub lapse for even minutes if it's during free access. I don't mind losing access to the character I'm paying for but making me lose access to the others is over the top.
"over the top" of what? If you really needed those other characters you'd be paying for them, so I don't really see that you've lost anything of significance.
The campaign reactivates all inactive content IDs. The payment system deactivates all content IDs when payment ceases. Again, it's an edge case- i doubt anyone even forsaw this situation. But it was all an automatic process, its not like someone said "oh, we don't like this guy, deactivate his alts."

However it is still silly that I lose access to free play time on all characters due to not paying for one, it's fine if you think otherwise because I'm not here for an argument with you about it.
I don't argue just for the sake of arguing, you misunderstand me. I care about the topics I discuss. It's your choice whether to respond or not.
If I was as you suggest, I would be that guy who starts threads with postulations and ending with "discuss." or "change my mind." I don't do those things. I like the truth and I like honesty, and so I primarily respond to people making misshapen assumptions or things that simply aren't true or correct. I may participate in discussions but I generally don't start them and I'm not trying to pick fights.
And to address the actual point: The free time is lost when you cancel sub to prevent abuse. Your circumstance is unfortunate, but if it wasn't designed that way, everyone would be able to cancel their subs when a "come back with free time" event comes, use the free time that is primarily intended to promote old players returning, and then re-sub afterward, making the campaign cost them money, rather than potentially gaining them money in re-subs. Maybe it's "silly," I don't know, but it certainly is logical. Maybe you'll understand that, maybe you won't but I won't take it any further than that.
Please make Mannequin parts sendable and auction house sellable, there is no reason for them to still be so hard to move around and sell as they are.
Copying my request here since it fits as a quality of life adjustment & other activities in game.
I have decided to raise a couple chocobos, one to race with and one for digging, so obviously I start reading into what that will entail. Come to find out there is a TON of info that is unknown, at least for the english speaking community. What I do know is the chocobo race cutscene is like 5 minutes long, and apparently I'm going to have to watch that ~24 times a day once my chocobo is an adult to get the chocobos I want. Tack on not paying attn while it's going on and that'll take me 3 hours each day for months.
Suggestion
Please add chocobucks to the list of currencies one can purchase with copper vouchers. It could even give only 100 per voucher instead of 1k since it's a low quantity currency.
It's just going to be way too much time wasted watching the same cutscene on repeat.
To alleviate any concerns. The items that can be purchased from it NPC for trash, and on AH, they practically never sell.
Alternative Suggestion
Increase the rewards per race OR reduce the cost for certain items, remove singles, drop stacks of food to 1 & 3 chocobucks respectively, 7 & 8 for active chocobo training, 15 for a racing silks, and leave the rest as is since those items are what can be sold on AH and could even potentially become worth spamming the event for profit ... like that would ever happen.

Please release additional info regarding chocobo raising & racing. Like how much each feed really helps; how much each saddle requires/boosts; if rank is all that matters or if the invisible #s within each rank have an effect; WTF the Chocobo Rope actually does. went from 10s dig delay to 5s dig delay and removed the rope with no change, so that must either mean the rope effects skillup rate OR delay is only affected by rank, not skill level.
Please add a message to world chat similar to campaign battle messages when domain invasion switches zones. Unity chat does not allow enough people at a time to receive these updates.

okay. here goes ... how about universal synthesis support. u get it anywhere and it gives +3 to all crafts even fishing which u can get on the boat, and also to mining harvesting and logging, and even chocobo digging.
also can u make it so it shows a total when u purchase from npc's. so incase u dont want to spend that much u can buy less.
Add a text option to the Domain Invasion NPC so we know which is currently active, since we can't get on unity chat very often and all.
In this day and age, things need to change around Conquest to make it viable and fun to interact with again. Newer crafters are suffering from missing out on Regional Vendors, forcing them to other time consuming or otherwise expensive methods to obtain their materials.
Please consider any or all of the following:
Increase the number of conquest points obtained from killing enemies, shifting the tide quicker, or lower the requirements for overtaking an area.
Allow Expeditionary Force to be run solo and with Trusts.
Increase the drop-rate of Garrison items (and/or add them to the Curio Moogle), and make Garrison soloable with Trusts if it isn't already.
Consider allowing trading equipment to outposts, even if it's under beastmen control.
With the increased speed of leveling, many important areas fall by the wayside. Please make it viable to drive back the beastmen once again.
They already did this by reducing the requirements & making beastmen have to beat the 3 nations combined efforts in order to take/keep control of a region.
It would be a lot easier to conquer a region if they added one each of an apex camp & iLv.120+ non-apex camp to each region. (the 2nd being the type that drops the crafting shield cards) This way all the regions would have SOME reason for people to continuously farm them.
Could also make the unity NM kills grant some region points as well.
Just an idea Square Enix Devs so people do not have to keep changing jobs to see what they have left to work on.

Please make COPPER VOUCHER a key item upon completing an objective, there is zero reason this needs to be an item that drops to our inventory other than bloat since the key item system is already there at the npc.
Add a "last 5 key items bought" key items option at the top of the high tier battle field npc interaction lists or favorites as we have in Abyssea for atmas.
i wish the chocobo tokens for skilling up growing and retired chocobos didnt reduce other stats to use them. thats just crap after all the hard work. basically i wish there wasnt a cap to skill you can gain by tokens and baby chocobo.
