You don't like something so you want it to be destroyed? That seems uncalled for.

If you are going to try to troll, at least do a better job than to have 2 different accounts agreeing on the same thing....
Who is posting on two accounts? First I have heard of it
Uh, what? RaenRyong is a well known poster from bg, and aliekber is pretty well known on alla. Feel free to pm either of them on their respective forums, and they will confirm their identities. Unless you were referring to someone else.
Just because other people agree with me, does not mean i have multiple accounts.
What's it afraid of?
They should tone down Atmas too. Something like +10STR on a top end Atma is reasonable. Also greatly reduce the droprates on most items. Then we can really see who's patiently worked hard for their hard earned stat increases, not just some Abyssea-burned noobs who get full af3+2 with STUPID stats and an empyrean in about 9 hours.Quote:
Requiring level 70 instead of 30 would be a start, but there would still be a lot of other things that would need to be done to balance it. Such as only allowing 1 atma, etc.
Should limit the amount of temp items you can carry at once too. Also increase monster repop times - it's so annoying getting aggro from a monster I thought I killed a minute ago and I don't want to have to carry around Sneak and Invis items.
Yeah, all mobs should be 5 minute repops, like everywhere else, none of this 30 second repop tomfoolery.
Could not agree more about the temp items. It is unfair that everyone can hold 20 different kinds of potions/elixirs/invincible-in-a-bottle items at once.
Stupidly unrealistic.
What is stupidly unrealistic? Not sure i understand what you are referring to.
Well Abyssea is fine as it is to a point, as it does work like it was designed, I just don't think that the team thought to far into it, making it level 30. I do agree that some of that Atma needs to be toned down, and maybe a few other adjustments..... the speed at witch things can be obtained is insane. 2 weeks? cool, a week? ok fine, 1-2 days? ...no -.-
I am amazed that people never stop complaining about things.
Years ago so many people complained about things being too hard or needing a full alliance to do events.
Now people are crying about this being too easy and godmode. I remember doom's godmode meaning i never die. Last i checked I can still die to rani/shin/etc. Abyssea was like breathing life back into a otherwise dead game. How many people would log on and sit in WG just to see if they say a /sh that interested them?
No one is forcing you to play the new content but there are so many of us that enjoy it. Stop complaining about it.
As a side note might want to remember til we are 99 this can all be viewed as a transitionary time. I am sure relics will be back on top by then and a lot will be more balanced. Enjoy the new play style or stop playing til 99 has been in place for 6-12 months and then see what happens
I did it for 7 years, so yeah, i would keep doing so.Quote:

This thread makes me wish I had played on Rog's server.
Oh, hey kirby. What exactly makes you say that? Because i obviously understand how ffxi should really be, unlike most other people here?
Pretty much.
You might have kept me playing, having someone rational to talk to ;_;
Probably .
That may be true but people almost exclusively brew those thus taking out any challenge to them. If you fought those 2 without a brew congrats to you but the vast majority hasn't because they feel its a waste of time.Quote:

But wait some people are so bad they actually take 2-3 brews to kill rani lol.
I actually did rani without a brew, since my ls was one of the first on quetz to take it down. It was a very fun, and challenging fight, that took us quite some time (a few hours, though we were not really prepared for it, and did not really know what to expect). It, and shinryu were actually a really nice addition to the game. Unfortunately allowing brews to be bought for only 200k removed the challenge there.
It seems that the thread has become unnecessarily inflammatory and is no longer offering any constructive arguments for either side. Because of this, the thread is being closed.
