some of you are acting as though SE is being unreasonable with the token, as someone who was hacked and lost most of her in game valuables I certainly don't think so, SE did not have to add the token for us, they chose to, personally I'm glad they did, if you get one I suggest you keep it even if you think its a pain, I would have spent the money for it even if the satchel was not included with it just for the peace of mind

You might be missing the point, We're fine with the security token and the extra security. But some of us just don't want it, Have better security or just don't want the hassle among other reasons. The point is SE maybe shouldn't have tied the security token with the Mog Satchel, 95% YES! Just a random % I pulled out of my refrigerator but... "I" feel 95% of those that bought the Security token, Got it for the Mog Satchel and not for the extra Security. Come on there is so many hoops logging into Final Fantasy XI as it is.... and I think most of us are not alright with that.

If 95% of those that purchased the Security Token for the Mog Satchel, then it has done its job as an incentive to convince those people to buy the Security Token.

The real question is, what percentage of those players, after purchasing the Security Token for the Mog Satchel, then kept the Security Token linked and used it?

I'm willing to bet it was more than 0%, which means the Mog Satchel has done its job as an incentive to convince players to add two-factor authentication to their account.

It's probably closer to 99%. After a few days, using the token becomes second nature. Maybe one of the community reps could dig up the info about % of secured accounts and how many of the unsecured accounts have mog satchels.

Also has a matter of how long they work. I bought mine & used it up till it broke which was about 3 months after I got it. They told me I had to buy another if I wanted the token itself but I could remove it if I wanted, and not have to bother with getting another, so I did. If they break and all you wanted was the MogSat I doubt you would get another. So try to also take into account how many bought another after the 1st broke.

Defects/damage could indeed end the life of a token prematurely, but mine has been working like a charm. (And I got the FFXIV one as backup if need be.)
