I get ya. Sorry for slightly derailing but for me personally the ideas are connected because I can't do a thing with extra room if I don't have more storage spaces for furniture.

Actually, you don't even need 3 mannequins anymore. 1 panetiere (65 storage) and 1 six-drawer almirah (or anything with 15 or more storage) would cap out storage space if you were really trying to mini-max space.
I like to keep other things around for lulzies though.
Thinking further on the situation I've come up with a list based on various this and that's! Why didn't I think of it before?
Item requirements for the mog houses should go something like this:
First step:
Storage maxed out, Moogle mentions that keeping all of your stuff in one place is becoming a hassle to keep clean and orderly. He suggests expanding your home to include extra space for your things! But he needs materials.
60 pieces of lumber
40 ingots
40 animal glue
Various tools
A sum of gil
:D
But I'll need help determining the further expansions and particular materials. What type of lumber and metal, plus what the requirements will be for say, two more phases, rank 6 and rank 10.
You'd have to trade your WHOLE MOG HOUSE to the trial moogle to get the stamp on it! @.@
What levels of each should be required? I know Lauan lumber is the low level stuff... So maybe like a 3/10 one the scale of ZOMG EXPENSIVE WOOD, same for ignots, maybe animal glue is fine for the random element. what's a suitable amount of gil...? 200k? 500k? ONE MEEL-EE-OHN GEEL?!?
Then the next sets. Higher tier lumber and ingots, and a new random element that could be used for house building sort of things, and a new amount of gil. C'mon folks! Hive mind with me! Brain storm! Intellectual orgy! Help meeee!
Naturally. o-o It's home expansion! Look earlier in the thread and you'll find furniture builders with lack of work to be done making furniture that shows up on the AH once in a blue moon and sells six months later on constant sale.
It'll also help metal workers and monster farmers and give the economy a kick in the pants or finally make you dust off your lumberjack hat. EITHER THAT, or SE might loosen up the daily supply amounts the guilds have of these supplies etc.
I still have to beat up people who are over charging ridiculously for gobby bag materials...
<_< Grr...
