Even if gil was even easier to make, and worth less to sell, no one is going to give up literal free money.... and there will ALWAYS be buyers. ALWAYS. Forever.

Probably just easier to say the economy is and has always been a mess, where gil just allows people to cut corners. Ultimately, the botters aren't really going to be inconvenienced by the current cap as much as legit players since they've already forsaken optimal farming methods (Like EXP time or mass pulling) to keep a steady flow trickling in and likely from multiple accounts to boot. A 30m round trip to town is a drop in the bucket when they have the rest of the 23.5h to run in circles poking things, and are quite likely using the same tools others are using to just quick by gear from the NPCs without menu navigation. Meanwhile, that same town trip for someone who only squeaks in a couple hours or so is far more precious.
Either way, this just goes back to GMs doing their jobs since you can bet those RMT botters are funneling their gains off to bank mules before heading back to the grind.
Fishing used to be a very popular hobby, but changes to the game have ruined it. The actual act of fishing is still fun, but it is no longer profitable and fish are no longer desirable (for example nebs don't sell on the AH anymore because you can just get the shihei a vendor). That combined with the nerf to vendor prices, people have seemingly abandoned the hobby.
I propose the following changes to help it back to greatness;
- Raise vendor prices for fish
- Nobody likes fishing up monsters, a cool change would be to give fishers a buff upon defeating a fished up monster. The buff could be something like an increase to bites for 3 minutes.
- add some easy to make Cooking recipes with fish in each difficulty tier that are actually REALLY good.
- add gold carp, tricolored carp to acceptable fish for Lu Shang quest
- Make the Key Item for the Lu Shang provide a buff to fishing, perhaps doubling or alltogether removing the fishing fatigue. This will incentive the quest itself.
Like the 9th time, but can we pppppppppppppplllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee please please please please get a "take all" option for delivery boxes.
i wish we could have a cap of 5mil gil in delivery box per character. I mean doing 1mil might just might slow down the rmt, but all they have to do is find another rmt and trade 100M at a time to them, so the only person 1Mil is hurting is us.
Quoting some suggestions for emphasis because I really like them.
Do want.
Really really really want.Quote:
- Add a "Request" option to the AH when browsing an item where you can deposit the amount of gil you'd wish to buy an item for. When players go to sell, they can browse through listed requests or just sell normally. Limit to 1 or 2 requests per character. If a request is filled, send a chat log notification.
Yup, this too.Quote:
- Remove Copper/Silver vouchers and just automatically add them to your AMAN pool when received.
This would be a godsend.Quote:
- A way to summon the Ephemeral Moogle, or adding the crystal trade-to functionality to something like the Mog Specs.
The only stuff I can think of is battle system-related. Increasing the number of abilities one can get via category 2 merits comes to mind (seeing that people are still funneled into specific set ups after all these years). Changing certain stances to become undispellable is something else that I'd like; speaking as a RDM, having Composure removed via mobs with AoE dispel moves (the Ambuscade iron giant from two months ago, for example) is really annoying, and the changes to Composure (increasing enspell damage and magic accuracy) makes losing Composure to dispels that much more detrimental.
Hey Due, PM on Zam. Been meaning to get in touch, but lost my old email when we switched ISPs here a bit back.
i dunno if anyone reads this or whatever but, I was wondering if you could make the garden have more variety and more newer items and things. mining for the same stuff or fishing for the same stuff or well all of it is boring after 4 years.
can you make it possible to switch between chocobos that are raised on the mount list easier. I don't want to have to trade the certification every single time I want to ride the faster chocobo, or the digging chocobo.
Imprimatur taking forever, its annoying being locked behind them still after years when starting over cause you want to see everything again.
All I want for christmas is a search on the AH. Type in an item name and not have to dig through the categories to find what you want, not find it, have to wait for the list to finish loading and then check another category.
ok small request. Can you FIX fishing. like make stuff worth money to npc or ah, and make it so bots don't threaten everything. I miss fishing, and I was an avid fisherman as my first craft years ago. before the bots got so bad. but if anyone can come up with ways to make fishing great again. I would so be happy!
oh I got an idea. you can fish up fish and trade them for points to a npc, then when you get enough points you can trade it for gil or items of value or keys like gobbie keys. this will keep botters from just sitting there on one spot all day by putting a limit to the amount of points you can get per trip.
on our server the sparks farming is always overcrowded, which means most of the time we cannot participate without going to a lower level fight and fighting 100x more mobs just to get the same amount of sparks. we need more sparks farming areas or maybe even a couple more fields would suffice like escha zitah.
there need to be better measures in place to deal with people who manipulate ah prices for a living. im not going to mention names, or point the finger, but we have quite a few on our server, who have done it for more than 8 years. if you want people to be happy playing your game, get rid of the drama.
its a server capacity thing. It's probably only a problem on Asura though at this point. A lot of people piled on it as the overall population declined so it ended up becoming bigger than most servers were even back in the heyday. So while your server seems pretty chill, there is one server that is actually congested.
I got an idea. what about a humongous storage in the mog garden, so we can keep all the augmented rare stuff for use, but don't have to always have it on us. that would solve the inventory and wardrobe problems.
I'd like a way to remove augments from Nolan/Oseem weapons.
Or let us have a way to mule augmented gear.
Also, they should make a Lilith trust.
is there any way you would allow items to npc for more gil than they do now?
I wonder, would it be possible to link your Bazaar to the Auction House, like say someone searches for "X item" via the Auction House, you had a second window next to the Sale list > Bazaars > Player - X item (Gil amount) etc. Maybe just a display of the character name and location with price, so you can find items easily.
That might be to difficult, i don't know, but at minimum we really need some way to mark items on the Auction House that we seek, exactly like FF14's "wishlist" marker on the Market Boards.
What I would find extremely useful would be a feature where I could place an item on my "Wish List" on the Auction House, and set how much i'd pay for it, and have the Gil collected by the Auction House to pay whoever supplies the item requested instantly, supplier gets instant payment and I get item i want sent to my moghouse etc.
That sounds like a cool idea, but the problem I see is bazaars don't have fees, which is meant to offset their lower level of convenience. If you could have everything in your bazaar on the AH, not only would ht is exceed the item limit they're still imposing, but you'd either have to dodge the AH fees (which means nobody would list their items through the AH) or have the AH fees imposed on your bazaar.
Would it be possible to make those Silver A.M.A.N. voucher(s) Delivery box to Characters on same account.
it would be cool if you could get master skills, you master a job you get a special high damage attack or spell of some sort that only a master gets.
I mean, you get reduced ultimate ability cooldowns and access to Su5 weapons when you reach master. it's not like you get nothing.
I don't think they want to make a landmark new ability gated behind 100s of hours worth of grinding beyond the current highest tier of new spells/effects.
Stumbled upon an idea to potentially help alleviate the problems being caused for CP parties by the rampant CP botting on Asura. This is a stopgap measure, but it would also serve the purpose of reviving currently dead content.
Remove the exp/kill and cp/kill system from Incursion. (Basically, everyone inside gets full exp/cp per kill as if they were solo.)
Increase the number of instances (I have no idea how many there are, but would need at least 10 I think and probably want around 20.)
And there we go. Instant large scale exp/cp "camp" that ignores the biggest problem in the game that's seemingly being ignored. :D
I get that it takes time to perform a proper investigation into reported cheaters, but it's painful for the legitimate players who have to adjust their play to account for the majority of CP camps being infested by large groups of botted parties while waiting in frustration for the STF to do something about characters that they've reported multiple times for flagrant and undeniable cheating. Giving us an instanced alternative CP location that encourages taking groups sounds like a great way to reduce the anger and frustration level of the legitimate players in the meantime.
If you're feeling generous, add non-ilvl Pulse weapons to the pool for Grand coffers to add additional incentive to take advantage of the adjustments. If the pool for the coffers isn't big enough currently, just replace the garbage items that can already be purchased from vendor NPCs (like Rabbit Hides and Bird Feathers,) and adjust the drop rates accordingly.
Incursion is one of the, if not THE worst event ever created. But I would do it for a better than 1% chance at pulse weapons.
This only seems to be a problem on Asura tbh. Move to a smaller server and you can CP all day long almost anywhere. The only place I ever see bots is (i honestly don't know why) the mandragoras outside Audolin.Quote:

That is why I called out that it is a problem on Asura. For players on the smaller servers, it may not seem like a big deal, but here we go over 3,000 players logged in during peak hours. Reports to the STF about blatant botting appears to go unheard and you won't find any Apex camps that don't have at least one bot group (not to mention the problems caused for new players/characters in lower level zones like Palborough Mines by those botting for their crafting Escutcheons.) That means that regardless of whether or not the issue is affecting you personally, it is still affecting a large portion of the playerbase, and something needs to be done.
The changes I propose would not be able to negatively impact anyone as far as I can think of, provide a solid alternative to over-camped and bot-infested CP camps, and potentially address the current shortage of suddenly-necessary Pulse weapons. Yes, it's a stopgap. No, it doesn't directly address the problem. It would still serve as a net positive for everyone and at least give us all a way to put a bit more distance between us and them while we wait on the STF to do their job.
Telling others to change servers because there are too many people breaking TOS on their server is amazingly shortsighted, doesn't actually do anything to help alleviate the problem for anyone and seems rather arrogant tbh. Why should I have to pay out of pocket because someone else is breaking the rules?
Moving to a smaller server is not even an option for me unless/until SE offers a packaged Account Transfer service for $20 or less, since I am not paying ~$400 to move all of my characters to somewhere else.
i know this is a little off topic but I wasn't sure where to post it bc its random. I have failed 192 times trying to make a stikini ring +1 and succeeded 2x in the last 2 years. is there some way people are hacking it, or is the odds just incredibly horrifying?
Gotta use that shield son. But yes, people are without a doubt doing something to improve HQ rate beyond what is normal, absolutely.
I find it funny how quick people trash talk other peoples ideas and comments, but the real funny new is when it comes to someone asking for help those people are too busy insulting them to even fix the problem. just a noted comment...
Can we please get S. Astral Detritus and M. Astral Detritus added to the list of Ambuscade rewards, like how many of the other items, used to upgrade weapons, are already a part of the Ambuscade rewards (Alexandrite, Heavy Metal, H-P Bayld, Mulcibar's Scoria, etc). Please, pretty please ?!?!?!
Can we store Egg Locker, Egg Table, Egg Stool, and Egg Lantern with the item depository NPC or with the store books?
Please bring Snoll Masque back to the Repeat Login Campaign! :(
