Hell yeah! New expansion: Weekend at Bubbly Bernies (Can I Have It?) =D
Finally! Bleh! at having to pick which one now, why couldn't you just use the previous moogles to hand them out if you won them. I guarantee you I'll get the item I picked now normally before the prizes are awarded, and I'll probably win it again too.
I'm logical, big difference.
Prize 1 I can guarantee not getting, the others however are possible to get depending on the R.N.G, as such I'd potentially take a space as a winner and would be unable to obtain it. Not just blocking someone else, but also blocking myself.
But hey, whatever!
Didn't get an email confirmation either is this working right?
been waiting for the e-mail confirmation as well, and nothing yet. :(
I can't enter - It says "Region is different" with a red X
Nice and descriptive error messages!
I'm having a completely different issue, It won't even let me log in. I clicked the link to bring me to the event page. Then I click the link to enter and I am brought to the page where I need to log in. I entered my ID and password correctly (i've tried 15+ times) and clicked Log In Button and nothing happens. It's like the button doesn't work at all. I made sure I clicked on the NA version because I'm in USA. I even went to the main ffxi site and logged into my SE account to make sure I had the right ID and password and was able to log in with no problem. What's the issue now?
Is there going to be be a similar gobbiebag giveaway in the New Zealand/Australia Region?
Ok, after almost 2 hours I just figured it out after posting that. In case anyone else has this problem, here's the solution. Apparently, only the login page for that contest is not compatible with the newest version on IE. If your using IE, when you reach the login page you need to click on the image that looks like a broken page up in the address bar. When you mouse over it, it should say compatibility view ( and something about clicking it to make older??? webpages display correctly.) Once I clicked that, the page reloaded and login in worked. It was a pain to figure out, so hopefully this will help others with the same issue.
Joining the "No confirmation e-mail received" bandwagon. Hope this doesn't destroy my incredibly slim chance of getting a Moogle suit, I was looking forward to terrorizing the denizens of Vana'diel. :p
There's very likely some delay on the confirmation-mails.
Don't fret yet!
No confirmation e-mail either. And, it's been a day.
Incoming contest being void because they say no one entered?
Or you can go to the EU one here:
http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/eve...012/index.html
Clicking the proper NA link brought me to a login page (even though I was already logged-in to my SE account in another tab) and when I logged in again it brought me to a mostly-blank page with just a standard SE template and no content.
Disabled adblock and tried again using my default browser (chrome) and no luck. Tried a fresh Firefox install with no adblockers inside a VM and got the same blank template page. I'm not willing to try with IE, even inside a VM.
SE's webdev team never ceases to amaze me. Not in a good way.
I read that prize distribution is during the month of July by the MHMU, but when does that start? A few hours after contest ends, the following day, week?
I've now tried:
- Win7 Safari, Firefox, Chrome(dev channel)
- OSX Safari, Firefox, Chrome(dev channel)
I've disabled all adblockers, done fresh browser installs, nuked cookie caches. When I click the contest entry link it brings me to an SE login page (even if I have secure.square-enix.com cookies set having already been logged in) and after logging in AGAIN, I get to this page:
https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...l&cont=enqform
Which is just a blank SE template.
If I swap out the escape characters in the URL and go directly to after successfully logging in:
https://secure.square-enix.com/enqt/e/NMB2012NA/html
Then it sends me back to the same SE account login page. Obviously I'm logging in just fine to my SE account if I'm keeping my Crysta up-to-date and posting to this forum.... So... what gives?
Maybe they won't email us unless we are winners :x
I put in the info as well and no confirmation e-mail so I started thinking that maybe the case.
Greetings,
Sorry for the confusion surrounding the text stating that there will be a confirmation email sent out upon entry, but that is actually not the case. So don't fret if you have not received a confirmation email as we are not actually sending any out for the Golden Gobbiebag Giveaway!
As others have said, if you're getting a "Region is different" error, make sure you're entering the giveaway via the correct link that matches the region of your Square Enix account - http://sqex.to/mxZ (NA) http://sqex.to/3cs (EU)
I wasn't anticipating it, but I did imagine there was just some issues with the system as to why they weren't being sent but I didn't imagine it would be something lost in translation, or somewhere before that even!
Funky. ^^
Whew, that's a relief... was starting to get worried lol. Thanks for letting us know what was going on :)
FWIW, I'm still receiving the blank page. I've spent time on webchat with support and I've filed a website bug on these forums. I've tried different browsers, OS's, and ISP's and still getting the blank page when logging in to the Gobbiebag Giveaway URL (not a region error). I did manage to find an error in the Javascript on that page (more detail in the bug report).
It strikes me as odd that I'm the only one reporting this error and it makes me worried that there are only 2 days left in the contest... I'm not sure that's enough time for the engineers to find and fix the problem.
It does feel a bit silly that they restrict entries for one per SqEX Account, instead of POL Account, I think.
Many will likely have multiple SqEX Accounts, while others have linked their multiple POL Accounts to the same one for convenience, and for that, they get sort of left out a bit.
They still pay a full price and all that stuff~ =/
Have you tried using a different computer? Not sure if that would fix it or not but I would give it a try for the hell of it haha.
Any idea of when prizes will be sent out? Site says sometime in July but yeah
