to his defense american ( and i believe english language countries) don't know what a kilometer ( or kilogram) is lol. They still use distance system from the middle-age. I wonder if they speak about kilo miles, or micro inch. inbefore english and american miles are not the same.
No RMT at all. Someone brought up that something worth 60~80M gil is worth the 25$ usd it takes to pick it up. Used google to find fair USD to gil conversion to check the viability. 60~80M gil is worth far more then 25$ and thus it would be worth the transfer fee. Now would it be worth the time to make that one successful video, after how many fails? Most would argue the time investment is worth more then the 60~80M gil.
LoL, I love when people from different countries argue over ways to measure things. Numeric systems have their own uses for different types of measurement. For instance, the celcius system is great for cooking, but poor for measuring the temperature outside. The metric system is used for science and pretty much everywhere but the US, and it is indeed a more intuitive system. However, boasting just because you use a system over another makes you look like a fool. It isn't like you created the system so you can check your nationalism at the door; This is the internet. To Monchat: Expressing a distance in miles will always be miles. There are no prefixes, just different words used to denote different lengths of measurements. I agree it'd be much better if the US stuck with the metric system for distance, but we like to be weird like that.
It's perfectly fine to use SI-prefixes for money. When you already use them for more or less everything else in the world, it becomes pretty intuitive, really!
After all, you can say "thousand volts" instead of "kilovolt", what's wrong with using "1k dollars" instead of "thousand dollars"?
And i'm pretty sure i've seen kilo-feet in some cockpit somewhere.
I'm with Markov. If they cant provide a video, they're cheating. Would love to see salvage bans 2.0 over this.
Actually, not to stomp your flame out or anything, but there are modifications that PC users can do that will show the order of the lamps. I believe SE has been trying to combat this by moving the data server side (much like they did with VNM tacking), but people have still found ways to get the lamps to say 1-5 totally removing the luck factor from lamp orders.
So, legit win isn't so legit anymore when lamps can be used in the right order each time the first time. Am I a PC user? Yes, but I don't condone these alterations to promote winning an event. I also don't promote the fact SE left this in the event while capping it at 30 minutes long. All it takes is one lamp order floor to ruin an otherwise perfect run. I also don't condone the fact players now merc Nyzul isle using cheats for 10~20m per piece of equipment they get for you.
Is it possible to do nyzul without cheats, yes. Is it easy, to an extent yes. Will it cost some gil on the groups part to make it consistently to 80 or beyond? Yes. Do people actually want to go through the hassle of it? No. That is the problem right there.
By cheats I mean: No clipping, Wire frame, flee hacks, dat/hex modifications to lamps, etc. Something you have to do extra tot he game via a 3rd party app is cheating (obviously). Using a sch or 2xsch and locking 2hour on lamp doesn't count as cheating mainly since SE has already stated in the past this is a mechanic in the game that works properly since people locked brews in this manner for abyssea.
