I might quit for good when my crysta runs out if they don't do or anounce something big in the next two months. Mainly fixing VWNM loot system if not then I will gladly laugh my @## off when FF14 falls flat on its face.

FF14 has to much agaisnt it now to ever get a fair shake. Evey review will point to its launch, the extended time it took for them to fix it, then the way they treated FF11 while digging it out. They burn the FF11 base so they can't count on that to fuel it. While it could end up recooping the money spent on it the damage it caused to the name of Final Fantasy is the real cost.
No matter what I will never convert to 14. If it gets to the point where I am that disatisfied (I would be lying to say I am not close) I will try another MMO from a completely new company. I'll be dammed if I ever validate SE by going to 14 after they tried to forcibly move loyal customers instead of revamping a solid existing game. Far more $$$ has been spent on that turd now than was ever needed to bring XI into the next decade properly.
no, Originalkord is one of my last 3 remaining friends playing ffxi, he quits so will the other 2 most likely. When i quit last time i was quite content staying gone till i started getting harassed on facebook daily to come back.
Besides i got 5000 for my character last time, i wonder what i can get for this one
anyway, I intend to quit because my linkshell leader is
I seriously doubt I will ever play another MMO that isn't strictly for pc. In the case of XI however, and as I previously stated the amount of $$$ being dumped on 14 was more than enough:
To make a ps3 version
To have released a proper full scale expansion with 99 (which in turn they could have charged 25-30 for)
Agree it such a waste of time, money, and damage done to brand name. At this point the smartest thing SE could do is drop 14 and let the name Final Fantasy go away for a few years.
Not really, for every dollar we're paying towards FFXI, maybe three cents goes to FFXIV. SE is a big company with a whole ton of open projects in several different types of media. FFXIV is just one of those projects and very little of what we're paying is likely contributing to FFXIV at all, and this will be even less true once billing commences in a week or so.
