Suggestions: Quality of Life Stuff and other suggestions

Just raising a hindrance from some LS member encountered:

With Abyssea campaign usually capping certain lights, certain light needed for getting empy feet piece, which came from gold chests that requires amber lights, becoming more challenging since the bonus capped lights from campaign kinda hinders the attempt to getting more gold chests. Need to ease these requirements for a bonus campaign, not to hinder certain progress cause by it.

This is true for the KIs that would come from the gold chests as well.

Please stop removing the Daily login points moogle on the last day before an update. I needed to redeem points on my mule and will now lose half of them as only 1500 is carried over.

considering there's a clear date when it happens cant you just, you know, do it before then?

Suggestion, lighten up.........It aint that serious anymore.......

Lighten up Trust Summons restrictions. Trust summonable in areas such as Salvage, all BCNM, ENM, etc.....

Also feel the exp system is broken, could be lighten up a bit......... It is an endgame activity, or players pay mercs for points after Merits. A solution is to make them easily obtainable, aka killing the major flaming hoop nature of it. Example, you can party in the Dunes with noobs and still earn a great amount of exp, merits, cp, ml, etc......

This is a loooong shot, but I do not feel exp should be segregated. I truly feel, a noob party should be able to play with ppl earning CP, Merits, Monstrosity, etc......
(Ya'll knew I was gonna slip Monstrosity up in there......)

Seems to be more new players coming in from XIV (Or bots....). Us older players can give newer folks some guidance like we received in the old days.....They are just out here man lol, with nobody to play with really, or explain the path to come during an exp party like the early 2000's. Give higher lvl folks an initiative to go back to their old ways. The Assist channel is great, but actual interaction within a party setting is even better.

I respectfully disagree. One should (normally) have to do the content perscribed to earn its reward. Monstrosity is a side activity that isn't required for anything and players doing it can't really cooperate in any way with people not doing it, so that, in particular, is nonsense. The rest boils down to the fact that high end progression systems want you to kill high end enemies, why should you get Exemplar Points from killing Tunnel Worms- Even synced to level 1 South Gustaberg enemies are trivially easy to kill compared to even Colibris in Bhaflau.

If we're welcoming as a community, we should be helping these people without promise of a reward. I know that's hard for an MMO veteran to accept, but sometimes doing a good deed is its own reward. We already have the assist channel (which people should be making more use of), new players are marked as such and easy to identify in order to help, etc. etc.

TL;DR, I support helping newcomers, but not giving endgame rewards for doing low level activities.

That's avoiding the issue. There is no point in removing it at all. All it does it needlessly punish the player for no using them "on time". when technically there is no reason it shouldn't just be up until the moment the server goes offline for maintenance. That's the point of this thread, to suggest small changes for quality of life.

If there was no point in it, they wouldn't have implemented it in the first place. The reasons for it may very well be non-player facing or not otherwise obvious to the player.

My supposition would be that it's to ensure that there are no issues caused by attempting to redeem points around the time the changeover takes place because it could cause technical or other issues.

Then in that case the cap needs to be higher for carry over if it were simply to avoid technical problems. My original point was that there is no reason for the player to lose most of their points if they don't make the imposed deadline. Coming up with excuses for why you should shoot down other peoples suggestions is not constructive.
Furthermore if the devs were purposeful in adding things every single time this thread wouldn't even exist if the first place. By your logic they can make no errors. Now I suggest if you have nothing constructive to add to the thread that you go elsewhere. We have no need for naysayers, if the devs don't want to implement a suggestion in the game then let them be the judge of that.

I'm not "coming up with excuses," they are legitimate possible reasons. And there's an incredibly simple workaround to this "problem-" Don't wait to do things until the last second.

This is aside the fact that this forum is constantly being filled with "eliminate everything I don't like" even if there is a good reason why it's there. If you want to make suggestions that's totally fine, but lately some of the "suggestions" here have been really ridiculous, Some things that you might find an inconvenience have a good reason to exist, and those reasons and the impact of the supposed inconvenience need to be weighed against each other.

If you post a good idea, I would support it- usually with the "like" button as opposed to a comment. And disagreeing with you isn't a personal attack, nor is it done just for the sake of doing so, contrary to popular belief.

But in all honesty, as I alluded before, I think sometimes people go too far in demanding certain things to be removed, because doing so would trivialize certain aspects of the game or take away from an experience that, while possibly not the most convenient, has good gameplay (or keep-us-playing) reasons to exist.

For instance, I think the gallimaufry grind for a prime weapon is ridiculous. But obviously, grinds like this are long because these are really entirely optional things we don't need to do any particular content, and these are intentional grinds to keep us in the game longer. If they made things like this faster and easier, we'd run out of things to do and quit, so that's why they do things that way. Then there are other conveniences/inconveniences that I wouldn't have a problem with changing- say, adding more home point locations or simplifying UI interactions to reduce button presses, etc. I understand your reaction, but you shouldn't be so personally offended that someone doesn't support your idea. If I don't think a change is in the best interest of the game, I will say so, in my own effort to ensure that the dev's limited dev time is spent on making the game better in more material ways. It's not because I want to be a debbie downer, it's for the exact same reason that you make a suggestion in the first place- to help make a better game.
