Is the d2d version a EU code? otherwise i'll run into the same problem. Everytime I buy a NA code it gives me an error.

If you have a Collection with WotG, you don't need the downloaded data, you only need the registration codes, which are easily accessible from any of the distribution services.

Since you need a web browser to do the download, they only make it for PC, but the codes can be used on Xbox 360 or PS2. As the console versions are out of print, they're not expecting new players on consoles, so again it's only for PC to download.

Well thats good, thank you for the info, Its not that I think downloading is bad just that I'm the type of person that like to have a hard copy of the game just in-case I don't have internet access or the games gets corrupted

Flash where you found it in Steam i been looking for it and I dont find it can you put the link?

ugh i bought mine originally on d2d but it wouldnt let me have a second copy for my bf so i went to steam, i spent about a good 20 mins avoiding downloading the steam downloader but you have nooo choice in that matter, you HAVE to install steam to see the code, im never using steam again.

Well of course. We both have the steam program, we play a whole bunch of their games. We just can't find the Destrier code, found the expansion code no problem.

the destrier code should be right under the game code. on the right of the downloader theres a link that says code or has 'code' in it.

Has anyone gotten an EU version of this yet? Amazon.co.uk and direct2drive.co.uk both don't have the game for sale.

Is there a European version of steam?

before anyone asks, using an NA code on an EU account only results in an error, I had to buy a EU import of WotG for the code and a NA version to install the files on my system

EDIT: I think I found it on steam but steam isn't taking my credit card, says there's some kind of internal error. I hate steam anyway so hopefully someone will come up with a better solution

I tried to download the EU version off of Steam as well and also got a credit card error. The other two regions have download links on the main POL website now, but EU's only leads to the "Coming soon!" page.

What the bums x2.

Is there a way to get the helm without me redownloading the game?

So burn the downloaded copy to a DVD yourself to make a hard copy. It's not like you can't back up the data after you have downloaded it. Steam even breaks the backup into CD or DVD sized files for you if you tell it to, so you can back up the install. Heck, I convert my install discs to ISOs and store them on my external hard drives so I don't have to dig through a huge binder of them every time a game needs installation or needs the disc to run. I just mount the ISO with DaemonTools.

You're limiting yourself in unreasonable ways considering the technology available to you. Also, even if you had a hard copy, FFXI isn't installable on consoles without internet access. PC version is, but then you can't update, so you might as well back up your installation folder to an external drive also.

so it's now May 17th and still no EU version /sigh.

Yeah steam still isnt taking my credit card/paypal. /sigh

OK, so I have my codes. I just need to know where to input them. I am on 360 and I know this works my cousin did it on his and now I cant figure out where to redeem them. I spent 3 days on the phone with PoL just to get my damn account back and now this. Irritated is an understatement .... please help me and thank you in advance

If you look at the top right corner of this page, there's some text that reads "Access the Official Site!" click that. After you click that, on the new page in the top right corner will be a red box that says "Square Enix Account Management System" click that next. Now you need to create an SE account/Log in, etc, and you enter codes in there under "Services and Options" > "select service" > "FFXI"
