Also how about expanding the use of the campaign gear especially the weapons sad to see them and campaign fall so far off the map lol.
WoTG content has been lagging for some time, evidenced by the number of people without Future Fabulous Atma. The usual complaint I see is that the reward isn't good enough. Couple that with not getting skill and showing up for campaign battles only to have them end as you get there and it's just a mediocre system. Too bad, I actually enjoyed campaign. I took my 2 jobs to 75 there, then did my bard skill-ups in Dynamis and my beast skill-ups just happened while farming. I think if they were to allow skill-ups during battles, make a few areas more pet friendly and make the rewards a bit more level appropriate and worthwhile outside campaign it might breathe a little life in.

It's not rare, but I would love to see the HQ Elemental staves be upgradable to be equal to the ToM staves. I'm sick of having to carry around and/or store 24 staves for what I used to need 8 to accomplish (macc (whm+sch), mab (sch), and perp cost(smn))!
If Nashira's gear gets more haste with the update, I think melee mages will be fine with that. What I want to really know though is why SE hasn't released a single haste gear set for mages since then. The only mage specific haste gear to surpass LIMBUS gear was Goliard Saio. "All jobs" does not count.
Please SE, let mages melee with dignity. Purple jackets (or that vomitous couch striped coat) and dragon print pants just looks awful. Someone link a picture of their pimp melee mage so that SE can take pity on us.
As cool as this is, and how much i would love for new gear to be upgraded. We need to keep in mind, that we wern't asking for lizard jerkin, or centarion gear to be upgraded when the cap used to be 50. It's part of growing, and as hard as it is to put these awesome pieces of gear down, eventually new ones will just step in there place, and one day you will be asking for those to be upgraded, and you will completely forget about the gear we want upgraded now.

Any Limbus and Salvage gear upgrades should be done by adding new NMs and bosses to the content that drop items which are used to upgrade the NQ gear by trading them to the NPCs that originally dispensed the equipment.
If we get Salvage/Limbus upgrades ever, I'd rather they be Synergy Augments instead of once again having that gear being best of the best at 99. I see little point of going to 99 if they keep all our old armor better than the shit we got on the way up.
Besides, Even if it was just SYnergy Augments, the crap we got now is proof it could still be good.
I want some Summoner Luven finally with old gear upgrades.
Sky stuff completely ignores SMN, and the augments do so...somewhat.
Only Zenith Pumps seems the only thing that SMN gets with augments now...and even then, it is overshadowed by both relic and emp boots....
At this point, I can't really say I regret not getting a Yinyang Robe. Not only does the Caller's Doublet +1 have superior stats--and the potential for even higher stats with +2--it requires far less trouble and frustration.
Kriegsbeil & Fransisca would be great upgrade choices for Rangers.
Zoraal Ja's Axe would be a great option if it were upgradable.
An upgraded Enhancing Sword would bring me back to RDM in a hurry.
On an upgraded Maat's Cap, I don't even want to think about the trial for that (knowing these guys, it would involve either the Maat of 20 years ago or his Abyssean counterpart, both being even stronger than the Maat we knew and dreaded at level 70.

Save the Queen. It's MESSED UP that they'd take the name of such a legendary sword within the series and let it go to waste.
Also, all I really, truly want is to have a haste SET that matches and caps me preferably with STP so I can stop having to resort to looking like a deranged hobo to have a 5 hit with capped haste. Aurum, or Ares sets would be good choices to give this treatment.

Tired of looking at the old gear. Whats the point of even releasing new gear if you can just upgrade the old crap. They really left the old endgame at the top for far to long with far to crappy of drop rates. Also what karbuncle said that sword looks to be fun from watching my friend play with it. I mean really I knew some one that quit over thier harby +1 was outclassed by noctus mail when it was released.
Yea, Sky gear with Augments more or less ignores SMN (bar lolMAcc on Z.Hands), but Hadean pieces do not. Pet:MAB is the guaranteed augment on Shadow Hat, and you can get Pet:Critical Hit Rate on Shadow Trews.
On topic, please for the love of all that is holy let us augment Salvage gear ASAP. That is all.
I don't understand what is with FFXI players insisting on upgrading old, outdated gear. The game has moved on, they've created something new. PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, stop bickering the devs to tweak your old gear and let them work on something NEW.

Only gear that really needs an upgrade is Salvage. Simply because it took ages to get and is on the same level as relic weapons in terms of time invested into it.
All the other gear is either already useful or has better replacements as mentioned by others.

I'd like to see CoP rings augmentable because I really like their design. :< Kind of sad that I had to put my Tamas down to wear an AH bought ring instead.
I could get behind an augment to CoP rings. Maybe a few extra missions to push them up to 99 standards?
There was actualy a reply in anotehr thread where they stated they were looking into an update for them. They also stated that they did not want to make them out power the ZM earrings.
Really, i'd like to see RSE upgraded for level 90's. Remember all the scrambling and hunting we did back for our first RSE? I'd love to relive those days level 90 style! I still use my RSE for every job I level when the job is at that level... I would love to see updated versions of that RSE to help carry us from 90-99.
Also, all jobs get a level 40 or so weapon as their AF1. What is the level 90 equivalent for that? Empyrean weapons? Like most people, I don't have the time or resources to dedicate to an Empyrean weapon, but i'd do another coffer/bcnm fight for a level 90 Job Specific Weapon. I'm not asking for anything to rival an empyrean or even a relic weapon. Just something useful like our AF weapon once was.
