You know where all of this anger and stress is coming from? I bet it's all this tension from the servers being down, i feel it too
On topic, what I'd like to see is some ideas that aren't new but actually fully fleshed out. Like the far east, for example. Tenzens homeland and other locales. Smn can gain access to Phoenix as an avatar and phoenix blade can be a GK drop for sam in that fight...but more importantly have the story fully fleshed out. Also opening up the northland Gigas home, Mithra homeland, some ancient zilartian ruins...possibilities are endless and can easily be absorbed into the story/mythos.
What if they introduced a new kind of magic?
That may be out of Final Fantasy terms though

OK, so fleshing out the Tenzen story line.
They DID open the potential for a whole new zone the way they introduced him. His land is being consumed by the emptiness, and some of the new weapons have +dmg vs empty.....
Pheonix as an avatar is completely viable, and a worthwhile quest to say the least. That could be the reward for completion of the quest/mission line..
They gave enough to start at least an add-on if not a complete expansion. Maybe they already have it under development?

Eh, didn't Phoenix technically die in Chains of Promathia? I know Tenzen did something against Bahamut or some one toward the end and either injured or destroyed Phoenix. Can't remember the specifics.
Edit: I have always wanted Phoenix as an avatar, and would like a story branch where he isn't dead and you can gain him as a summonable great katana or something for Summoner.
I feel like all of ideas for add-ons are mostly for mages, or jobs that are MP based. As much as SE would love to satisfy our wishes, dont you think it would imbalance the jobs? for example,
If they give blm/whm/rdm/sch/smn all new spells, job trait, and abilities, Then what would, lets say, a THF get? A few extra job traits? few abilities?.. I feel theres DEFINATELY enough room to add on mages, but not enough for thf, war, melee based jobs.
So in essence, melee jobs are kind of holding mage jobs back. Seems to me theres a greater increase of demand for mages than melees.
SquareEnix should make an Exapnsion called: "Vana'diel's Demise, The Goddess' Rise". The story is about a Mithra named Raka who joins forces with that devilishly clever Tarutaru, whome you all know, and love....Shantotto. They succeed in destroying the world of Vana'diel and create...(Brace yourself for the not so unsuspected, unsuspecting...) "The Raka and Co. Empire"!

The post that I said that was toward the post before you said compliments I was temporarily afk while I was typing it and came back to finish it,then I pressed the reply link then seen that you said that. So it was a slightly late post now I am sorry for swearing but I did it with a reason. Bashing me about grammar no matter the reason until I finally cant take it anymore and the continuation of it is why I got so upset with it. Now from now on I hope I get better treatment. Since I did only have these Ideas and they were carefully thought out for a very long time. Including a huge spell list I created for Time Mage. Some of them were not added to my post. The list was quite long. Although I have removed some from it since.
It took me awhile this time because my pc decided to reboot from windows updates.
I like the ideas people are coming up with in here so far. Thanks for the cool responses.

I think they need to make steal more available for thief,as well as more types of steals.
Maybe a steal that also attacks at the same time.
I think using steal once every five minutes is kind of low since that is what a thief really is. Someone who steals stuff.
It should be once per minute. I mean whm can cast cures far more then that and cure is whm main responsibility.
They should lower the level requirement for thf's dual-wield to 10 like nin.
Give them more types of attacks like trick attack and sneak attack. Backstab and a ja that raises attack speed and accuracy and dexterity for a limited time.
A Steal that could steal Rare/Ex items off any monster as long as they carry one but probably a low percentage rate.
Treasure Hunter IV would be good at 99.
Oh and another thing that would help give thief more subjob options would be giving them a job ability that increases evasion a lot,and also another job ability that they can use ever say 30-60 seconds that grants some type of shadows effect. Maybe they both can be in one job ability. Otherwise I do not see much point in Thief having dual-wield since they need shadows to pull. well and good evasion is good too.
you should work for the staff of SE as a suggester, you have a lot of good ideas
Oh another thing they should fix or maybe add with an expansion is less loading time when zoning.
I would also like to see them eliminate zoning, or at least make a transition picture screen of the area your zoning to, instead of it going to a black screen.
