From what I understand, your character is copied to the test server... so you can still play in both servers. :)

It's a copy. Only interaction it has is whatever you have as a character now will be what's present on the test server before you make modifications.

You have to unzip them and copy them to the Test server folder. Make sure before you copy them you click on it and get the contents inside! I did not copy the files inside the folder and just copied the ffxi folder over and now I can't even log into Pol WTF!

there is a read me file in the first aaw**** zip file when u unzip it

Are you able to swap your subjob?

I read it but still made the mistake of not opening the ffxi folders before copying!

EDIT: Nevermind I figured what the problem was....

So... are the only debug options being the porter moogle in moghouse, and the ability to empty/fill storage slips, max jobs, get gil, and get items from a specific list? Was hoping to get orbs for trying out the BCs earlier... also would kinda like being able to grab any item FOR SCIENCE!

This Test Server is about 9 years too late. Way to go, SE!

weird i tried to register on this server and it says none of my characters meet the requirements ..... which is BS cause i know my main character meets all the requirements.

I had issues to apply too but after I logged out/In it worked perfectly fine.
Gonna install it now and play around in it tomorrow.

there is linkshell there now that i am in running KCNM trying phobos orbs in holla but all the translation is in japanese atm

has a load of wanderers and seems to spawn eles and mugen shinker randomly

entered on firesday and the translator gave us randition had to do so many fire kills or bp%+ and that we succeeded in mission and got a weapon skill daiyin ...

It will not install for me.
It keep saying to install playonline which is already installed.

I think why its not letting me install it is because my pol is eu version, and the download link came to have come from a /US/ folder.

So are all the download the same for different regions?

Anyone have a problem with the test client where it crashes right after it launches FFXI?

So i got the invite but it says FFXI Test Server hasnt been installed. How do I install it?

When you signed up and got accepted it will give you a few links with download of the clint and files.

You need to download them and read the instructions in the main one which is something like U1111204W_001.zip

So.. When you copy your character does it completely transfer all of you data onto that server. Making it so you can only play on the test server and not your regular server anymore? Or can you switch back and forth whenever you want?

It does copy all of your data and you can only play on one client at a time. There's no switching back and forth really, just log on to whichever client you'd like.

Ok, cool. I was worrying that I wouldn't be able to play on my regular server if i signed up for this.

Didn't Want to start a new Thread so Ill put this in here. On the Test Servers Grounds of Valor has repeatable pages so you don't have to run back to the book!

I don't know about any of you but that would of been a nice spoiler to give us, now to hope it will be in the upcoming update. /dance4

I also didn't read the 11 pages so if this was said don't mind me.

Seems if you don't like Voidwatch you won't have much to do in this new update, lots of new voidwatch stuff (even though nobody really does it at all atm) lol No word on changes to the drop system since test server has none apparantely.

Reps told us they were adding this long ago, said they didn't want to add it to dom ops though.

Read on another forum that if you don't actively test stuff for them and just mess around on the test server they revoke your testing status, anyone seem that officially stated anywhere?

Ok this is going to sound like a newbie question. But can you play on both your main server and the test server if you apply? or do you just play on the test server.

If i would have just read the post.. yeah i feel dumb. Ok .. im gonna apply.
