Any plans for new mounted methods of transportation beyond Chocobos?

1) When have we ever had wyrm mounts or anything like that in FF? This isnt Wow

2) There is a reason chocobos dont go into "dungeons" because its pretty much like that in every other FF game.

Honest question, have you ever played any other FF game?

Adding new vehicles would require big changes. FF has always been about the chocobos, but I suppose a vehicle could also work, if there was something that was consistent with the world of Van'Diel, they'd probably be faster than chocobos, but I don't see such a thing needing any priorities.

Something like say, your own airship or boat would require even bigger changes, whilst you may feel like a pirate sailing to Nashmau on your own vessels, but it just wouldn't work. As a Corsair, yes, I feel lost without a ship to call my own, which is why I feel the empty space in my heart with rum, get drunk and shoot innocent goblins in a rage. "Where's *hic* my bloody ship you bloody round nosed landlubbers!"

You ride a dragon in FFV.

It's become grossly obvious that none of these threads are really meant as serious ideas as they are meant as a forum for whatever fanart is prime for the day. I wish they had websites devoted to things like that. Art, but for deviants. One of these days, I'm sure someone will do something about the grievous lack of forum for our artistically inclined.

I'm sure if we all use our imaginations, someone somewhere might find flying around on Nidhogg to be cool. I'm also sure someone somewhere might find FFXI as an FPS pretty cool too. That does not mean that either idea is worth the bandwidth they are posted with. Faux creativity be damned, if you want to showcase your fanart, make a fanart-dedicated thread and kindly cease attempting to justify whatever storybook fiction pops into your head as a legitimate change to the game.

Yeah, the type of flying I would expect would be maybe a good couple feet off the ground like most monsters do if we did get to ride compact-sized wyrms, so pretty much a nice "Glide/Flap wings" thing going on. Again, our beloved Chocobo's refuse to go lots of places in the game currently (which always makes me wanna yank'em back towards the zone), so whether it's a Horse-like Monocero, wyrm, or a evolved wyvern-sized chocobo, having a mount that wouldn't be afraid of dark spaces and could potentially bite the head off a goblin would be a nice addition in my opinion .

Weellll I wouldn't say we wouldn't still need to fear the wild dragons and wyrms out and about Vana'diel based on if we found a way to domesticate them somehow. My example shows a wide-eyed, short horned compact version of a wyrm, so I was hinting to a much more docile version (dare I say friendly). It would be kinda like having a tiger for a pet in that it could still bite your head off, but because you feed it and take care of it, there's less of a chance it will... though not a 100%. You wouldn't walk up to a wild tiger and try to pet it just because you have a tiger pet at home, ><; unless you just no longer liked having your hand and was in the market for a shiny new hook...

Final Fantasy 5 has a dragon mount I believe. The chocobo dungeons games they may not be exactly final fantasy per say but it is a final fantasy entity.

Don't listen to some of the lamers here King. Keep coming up with awesome ideas! It's people that think outside the box like you that actually give ideas to push this game in the right direction to benefit us (the customers/playerbase).

To be honest, I don't even like riding chocobos if I can avoid it now, I prefer warping and using confluxes, and OP's lol. When I have to run I get bored and when I'm on a chocobo its kinda cool, but I get tired of it lol. Now it would be cool to have your own flying mount or a sailing mount type of thing, and I can see this being somewhat romantic for the couples of vanadiel. Yet I myself don't see a point to doin it, the only thing I would want is the ability to use OP's out of my Consulate at the top of Jueno, or a way to warp back to Windy with it.
