Port Jeuno congestion

That's been done in this update, but it doesn't solve the problem fully. People still go to Port Jeuno for shouts, etc.

Personally, I would suggest a special "linkshell" (not really, just using the word loosely) that is "given" everyone (again, loosely), that would be a global chat, and would fit to the lore.

well bazaar tax again for port jeuno,i guess this would remove the 50-100 ppl bazaaring there. sauromarket wtf ^^.

global chat function would be a good solution, but with 4k ppl chatting at the same time @.@

Right, which can be an option to turn on and off. So I would probably expect even less, or maybe some sort of a restriction system, like a long delay and chat again. There's a number of way to deal with global chat and over 4K people online at once.

Could always put Horst and Joachim out in Rolanberry Fields where the bazaar folks used to be. Give them a tent so they don't melt when it rains.:) A global chat is also a good idea as long as we have a filter to turn it off when it becomes too annoying.

A Global like chat could work, if they just put it in the zones where the Abyssea NPCs are. Since it sounds like the main concern with people is not being able to hear shouts, if they were to add a "global chat" to Port Jeuno, Heaven's Tower, Choco Track, Port Bastok Port Sandoria, and Port Windy, then people may be more willing to use those zones.

Another thought that comes to mind would be a Post Board, where a person could put up to 1 seek request which could be viewed within the above zones mentioned earlier. The person can then send the tell to the person in question and maybe that would help if a global chat couldn't be implemented. While that would leave it open to potentially people "Spamming" it with useless info it would be limited by only allowing a person to "seek" one request at a time.

Probably wouldn't take much of a toll. A chat server wouldn't have much trouble dealing with 2000 users at a time. Impractical, however, it would probably be. That's why I think a region wide shout channel would be better. Or maybe a special type of shout that extended from the zone you're in and to all neighbouring zones.

A lot of people afk in jeuno because of the shouts. If se made a city wide shout channel and added the ability to Inc someone to party anywhere in the game world I would hardly if ever go to jeuno.

I have the same issue any time i log or zone into port jueno. Plus they made it where yuou have to do synergy in port since they removed the ones in upper jueno. (which only makes it worse since everyone is making the new agmented sky stuff).
I did make a thread awile ago about shouts revamped. Doing this would let people be off doing there own thing not sitting in a zone congesting it. Giving the freedom to people to go and do w/e they choose and still be conected with the rest of the world. Thus eazing the issue of congestion. ..... but i can never get a moderator or anyone take up my idea. Hopefuly with everyone always being stuck in port jueno they will see this as a way of dealing with the issue and implement something with it.
