If you're after a new home for a social LS send me a /tell when the servers come up.. A friendly bunch - mix between oldschool players and a few newish players (about 1yr). We mainly Abyssea based events as mentioned above, because that's what people want at the moment, but always up for ideas. Not really actively recruiting unless someone asks.
If I join any LS at all I'd rather it be strictly social. I don't like getting involved in major LS events lately, especially since most "events" don't need more than 2-3 people at best. And to keep it real, I don't even like talking to people about the game, it usually ends in disappointment. I am open and willing to be of help to newer players however, as long as they're willing to cope and listen to instructions (don't be an idiot).
Also, I'm known to be a huge drinker in my parts, I'm like the village drunk here. If you are cool with that, then we might be friends. I don't discriminate against anyone, but I might make jokes at your expense on occasion, all in good fun. I only hate stupid people. No frat boys/girls! They make my head hurt. And I like people that are well out of high school. Children and general immaturity tend to piss me off too. Other than that, let's get drunk! Oh yeah, and I wouldn't talk about music unless we share the same interests, and I definitely wouldn't bring up religion, unless you'd like to see another hole added to your back side. To specific? That's okay, I log in to AFK most the time anyway... Unless something interesting is going on.
Sorry, I know I wasn't the OP, but being in the same situation (and currently in the same LS) I think if we had to find a new home, I might as well find some place comfortable. I'm quite relentless, you probably won't like me.

lmao Just like this joke I heard about internet dating: Everyone likes hiking, biking, and looong walks on the beach. Let's be more realistic here!
I totally forgot I said all that. I'm sober now, let's see how sober me can handle the day after I get myself a tasty sandwich :)
