The majority of people stopped after beating the T4-T5 NMs and didn't even attempt the bosses. The bosses are what is the most time consuming and challenging of the delve content, but a lot of people feel like they can't be bothered because the spike in difficulty is too high, when that was the whole point. They then say they are bored with delve, or completed the delve content without really tackling the largest part of said content.
Furthermore, in the next update coming out soon, we will have the following the remainder of the Seeker's of Alduin zones and wildkeepers released(Well probably except the seventh special one). A big part of the story released. Artifact weapons and gear for the new jobs, merits for the new jobs. 5 new sets of armor from skirmish v2, whose content lvl is higher than delve t1 NMs. Weapons which will be augmentable comparable to delve weapons. The elemental magic update, and i forget what else, that is all of the top of my head.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make by mentioning the above is that SE was focusing on releasing the rest of the expansion first. With the areas fully realeased, I'm sure SE will have much more time/resources to work on other things they promised. For instance, the update following this coming update I expect SE to make good on a lot of their promises. IE: Relic upgrades, new summons, new 2hrs, bst and smn upgrades (might be coming in this update coming soon), monstroity, tier 3 merits etc, more storyline, and perhaps the final seventh wildkeeper. There will also probably be delve v2 in the new areas.
