Can we have a thread that ISNT a suggestion?

FF8 was the first one I played, and I loved it.. Even convinced me to buy 7 and 9. But I find that the story in 8 was really interesting and kept me hooked. But 7 was the same so I'm not really sure I could pick between them, plus the materia system was amazing and so easy to use. Plus 7 was the First one I completed

FF12 is the only one I've got that I couldn't get to grips with, I found the story pretty interesting at points but i couldn't get to grips with the gambit system and earning points to unlock the next weapon and stuff.

I've played most of them and own every one from 7 to 13, there the only games I wont trade in for other games coz I keep going back to them.

Not really, we're discussing our favorite final fantasy games, it's only natural that a side discussion of our least favorite would pop up.

VII fan all the way, IX my 2nd favorite.
Would've liked FFXII better if it wasn't such a blunt copy of Star Wars.
The only difference was no lightsabers.

Aside from FFXI, I'd have to say that my favorite FF is FFIX. Yes, that's right, 9. I know I'm gonna get hate for this but I'm ok with that because in all honesty I loved 9. I loved the fun. It just seemed like a return to all the great fun the games used to have. I'm not saying I didn't like other FF games, even though there were a few I HATED, but just that there were so many things about FF9 I liked more.

General conversation could also be good too, but the problem with topics like: favourite FF game, villain, hero, music, etc. is that it's way way too common. Since this topic starts with two original ideas though and I already answered the first idea I will follow with the second question here. FFXI is the game I have played through the most and have spent the longest amount of time on, but FFX for some reason is my all time favourite FF game right now. I enjoy the storyline, the voice-over's first appearance in FF, and the characters. FFXII is one of my least favourite FF games. That game felt more like star wars in my opinion than a FF game.

Well, it is kind of hard to invoke an original discussion when nearly every facet of a game has been explored ritualistically. I went for the shallow route to spark even the slightest deviation away from the repeat Abyssea and suggestion threads, as there could be a nice room for discussion here in 'General Discussion.'

Don't see why you should get hate for saying that. IX is awesome, probably would be my fav if I wasn't a Sephy fangirl. Zidane is the only FF protagonist I ever liked, as all my other FF favorite characters are either allies or villains.

<3 Sephiroth, Auron and Hope in particular.

Lol, no hate from me if you liked 9. I thought 9 was boring, the characters were weird and stupid, gameplay put me to sleep - but liking a different game is no reason to hate on someone :)

I'll admit 9 was better than 12, which was even worst.

What was wrong with 12?

I played VII first and fell in love. 9 was my next fav. After that 10 11 12 i liked 1 2 & 3 as well haven't played 4, 5, or 6 yet though.
