if you only have 5 slots in your inventory try shuffling some stuff around in your house/safe/locker. also use porter moogle and storage NPCs

I don't know anyone who has a totally empty sack statchel and inventory. That is a totally unreasonable expectation.

If meds could be used on others Alchemy would actually be a worthwhile craft to Lv.

It's a prerequisite for the often recommended Chemist job too.
