If they didn't change it that much, Merit Points are only needed for a re-try.
And not sure if any item is required (except for the key item(s) that the NPCs give during the cutscenes), that is, unless you want to lower the difficulty level. Didn't follow the changes too closely but soon we can all find out how it will be. ^^ -

It's strange. If this update hadn't come today and the cap was still 95, nobody would care. But since the update DID come today, there seems to be this view that the game is unplayable.

I was out there on thf and except for the competition the drop was not too bad though th6 took about 25 mobs to drop the item. Then got it to drop again with no problems on the last mob of the night for the blu who teamed up.
