Yeah the only thing i really run on that computer now is FFXI, and a few other off-line games i enjoy, all else done on my other pc.

At that point I'd rather recommend Linux. Oh wait, I'd do that at any point... ^^;

It's pretty good at pretty many things, one of them being giving new life to hardware that the other options no longer support, at all, while still being newer and they're supposed to keep on going for more than a few years at a time.

I'm basically still running my first install of Gentoo linux from 2010, although it has moved from a hard-disk/solid-state drive to another a couple of times probably, and the motherboard with the CPU and everything else included have been switched from sockets and such to another, without a complete re-install.

I have had no need for any of the other options since that 2010, but of course, depending on one's actual needs, I'm not saying that it will do the work for everyone for everything. ^^

On-topic: here's to hoping 2023 will be one with less of bots!

I still have my doubts, but all it takes is one person walking into the zone for the statement to no longer be true so....

I report every post where the "everyone is a bot" claim is made, because that blanket statement is essentially guaranteed to include some innocent people.

Well again you are spreading false accusations.
I was in KRT during that time on one of my alternate characters. I was with a LS friend helping them pop some NM's for items.
We were together in a party with my trusts.
We were both /anon and in there for about 3+ hours.
Neither of us use any 3rd party tools. (I am using vanilla FFXI on my computer as it does not support any 3rd party options in Vista.)

You blatantly accuse players of things they are NOT doing. (Saying ALL players in zone without proof, which then included me, and is 100% incorrect).

PLEASE do your research and check EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON/PLAYER in the zone before reporting such blatant accusatory lies in these reports of actual non-cheating players.

Please do flag every post in which he mass accuses entire groups of the playerbase of cheating.
If anything, the reason his reports get ignored is becuase they know he's full of it.

I have reported him/her now for a few of the false accusations he/she has placed on me.
I shall continue to monitor to see if I (we) get blatantly falsely claimed of doing illegal malicious cheating actions.
Their witch hunt has gone on long enough. If they don't like it, go create their own game and monitor it instead and enjoy playing it. They do have that choice. No one is forcing them to stay here and feel ignored, injustified, and feeling as if everyone else is out to cheat them of everything.

It was fine when it was actually about bots that are actually disrupting the experience of other players. People in a zone minding their own business are not bots and are not hurting anyone else.

We're having discussions on a forum, you don't own the threads you post, we aren't breaking any rules, none of our posts have been deleted, bla bla bla. And I really couldn't care less about your count. The forum itself does a good enough job keeping count of posts.

And you can still read the posts of people you blocked, and frankly I know you are. Which means you know you're making false accusations. We know it, you know it, and SE knows it. So if anyone's breaking rules here, it's you.

What really confuses me about what he's doing there is hes not actually keeping count of anything, he's just putting the post number (avialable already in the top right) in there. Lets say the mods actually do delete some posts. What difference does it make that post number 1033 is now post number 1031??? That isn't the number of times he's posted a report, becuase everyone else's posts are also included in that count.

Seems useless to me, but I guess it isn't any more useless than anything else happening here.
