Extending the story line with Lilisette beyond WotG?

/Agreed I was thinking the overall terrain would resemble our Vana'diel similar to how Abyssea does, but with a much more grim overtone to it. Battle fields would be cool too ^^

Maybe when she's starting out y'know, when she's just toying with'cha ^^ but I would think a bloodthirsty, power charged Dark version of Prishe would be a beast once unleashed against an opponent that can actually content with her :D

The shot I drew of her would be right after she'd been partially toppled, y'know like the 1st half of the battle. Right when she would get that adrenaline rush, and be happy to finally have a worthy opponent! The crazy type... @.@ /run away

I think adding another expansion to Lilisette's new world would be problematic to those who have yet to finish Wings of the Goddess. If any information leaked out that it was Lilisette's new alternative universe, people would be very confused.

While it would make for an interesting concept, I'm going to vote no.

^^ Well it would all be optional stuff to partake in like every other expansion of course, so most folks that haven't taken those first steps towards completing WotG missions would 1st have to finish those to progress and gain access to the alternate Vana'diel I'm guessing. Something like making it mandatory to having Lilisette's earring as a means to open the gateway or something.

Oh, a Dark Prishe would just be fun to see in my opinion ^^ That's not to say she couldn't be redeemed once defeated once or twice... or three times.

In terms of "altered realities" while I apologize for not reading the whole thing, one thing that I've thought would be interesting would be to use WoE as it sounds like it should've been used.
On http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/WoE it describes the zone as:

"All memories and futures that are deemed "dispensable" by Atomos are devoured, digested....and deposited in this wasteland of memories and time, the world between the worlds: the Walk of Echoes. This realm beyond the Cavernous Maws contains numerous floating structures, walkways, and stairways suspended in an empty sky, with a strange, fanged wormhole situated overhead."

Instead of something that sounds interesting from what is read in the above, we were given a same type mob with bigger mob bosses battlefield fight. Upon reading the above I always though it would be interesting to implement it almost in the sense as voidwalker is now, except more story based. Basically Atomos could call on you to be a "warden" to clean the discarded memories that have manifested in his territory and taken form as the heroes of those lost dimensions. With that in mind you could find yourself face off against something like a Zeid in PLD garments wielding the Lightbringer in a dimension in which he brought destruction through the very blade he is wielding now. By subduing this altered Zeid you would obtain a KI memory which could then be redeemed for abilities, traits, spells, combat/magic skill augments, etc.

Basically WoE could be a playground in which the adventurers find themselves synchronizing with the lore of other dimensions in order to bring order to Atomos's lair. While inside the WoE you would be able to augment yourself with little limitations, outside the territory you would be limited with how much of the "Dimensional Lore" you could augment yourself with. While in a sense it does sound like abyssea, the difference in mind that instead of attribute buffs and traits you would be "buffed" with augments abilities, new traits, access to casting certain spells on another job, traits that increase magic dmg of a certain type, upgrade of combat skills, slots to place new spells learned, etc.

I dunno it's just when you look at WoE you can see it as a definite lost of potential from what it defined itself as. Where if it were just something more then a "battlefield where you face off similiar mob types" it could've been something worthy of calling an end-game zone.

I apologize if this is off topic, but judging by what you were suggesting I would think that this may be able to tie in with what you had in mind.

In the OP, I just hinted to the possible reason we could be summoned to fight either for, or alongside the now Lady Lilisette when I said:

-"What if Lilisette could discover a way to once again open a gateway to beckon a last ditch distress message to her most trusted partner in crime. What if things reached a boiling point on this alternate Vana'diel and she once again needed the help of Altana's best children to tip the scales in the right direction?"

That "boiling point" could range from a number of reasons, and the one that strikes me as the most pertinent would be that the conflict between the Shadow Lord in Lilith's Vana'diel was never resolved. That he in fact was the most powerful being in existence over there so far as we are told. I love the quote from the cutscene where Lilith laughs at our "easy button" version of how the Crystal War was won:

Quoted from Lady Lilith during the cutscene from WotG mission 56-"Your kind might try for a thousand years (to defeat the Shadow Lord from her Vana'diel) and not once succeed."

Perhaps the concept you're proposing could be the handy work of the Shadow Lord's will to amass new generals against the now bolstering resistance led by Lady Lilisette. The "distress call" sent out to us could be to stop them in the dimensional hub that is the WoE before they actually reach Lilisette's Vana'diel and reek havoc on the plans to continue building up an alliance worthy of facing off with this Super Shadow Lord. I love all the additional effects and buffs you speak of as well! ^^

Alternate Naja would be just like normal Naja: Bipolar but they'd be off-sync. While Normal Naja is being "nice", Alternate Naja is being scary and vice versa. Getting a mace thrown at your face in normal Vana? Alternate Naja is giving you a crown.
