Haven't been keeping up with the news as much as I used to, did they say exactly what they intend to do with +2 items? Make them drop from empy NM's in older areas or unreleased yet?

STOP WITH THE RANDOM REWARDS FFS.
Reward them intelligently and people will stop complaining. How many of us have gotten several seals in a row for jobs that are below level 10? Or even better: jobs we don't even have unlocked. This is a problem when you have limited time to do anything and end up wasting time to get something you're never even going to want. Most of the time I'd rather have gotten no seal than another cirque seal.
I think this is true, would be nice if it only gave you seals for jobs you have over 75. Some kind of check system, even if they lowered the chance of actually getting a seal.Quote:

I do not think i got a pup seal from ops lol. I will say this though If I did Ops it would be for hope for getting a seal, I do not use ops for exp, and ill never take an OP invite for exp. (I remember comming across posts saying well ops give you good enp and seals is a side bonus) that randomness of those is why I do not do them. I do not need exp! exp is too easy to get.
i can vouch for this, i still remember that 1 quest with the galkan sausages, i ended with 8xRDM (which i was after), 93xDRK and 1-2 each of the other, like seriously 93 DRK leg seals that i could not put to use (drk bring lvl49).
also it seams to alot of people with some quests that the more people doing the quest the less chance you have of getting. now the quest i mentioned above, a friend of mine was kinda the oposite of me, he got like 30ish RDM seals and only 3 DRK (what he was after and abou 10-15 of the other 2.
i dont do quests for seals for this reason, its uses way too much time and they are worthless, imo the game is easy just dont need it made pathetic, if ya want seals just do NMs. imo i <3 the idea of removing the rezone thing, thats the only thing that was mentioned that appealed to me.
The battlefield idea is fine, if it's set for a 3-man or 6 man then the fight will also be scaled as such instead of the current low-man NM but only on certain job set-ups that currently prevail. The +2, that needs to be addressed a bit, but I understand you have limits on how much can go in a single update, and I'd rather you take the time to get the content you HAVE scheduled done bug-free than rush in a bunch of broken content.
What I would like to see is more sources for drops to do the upgrades to-for example-pyf harp. Getting a group together to do the critters that drop the iron plates is a pain, and the later items look even worse. I've always felt guilty forming groups to do all the work for something that really only benefits me; that's why I neven made a Dynamis LS to get my relic weapons, because the other LS peeps get virtually nothing out of it. However, if you can honestly see a bard soloing Iron giants and apedemak and the like... well you're more courageous than I am. Otherwise, make mobs that drop stuff like that drop items for other upgrade items so I don't feel like such an ass for making the group go to all that effort just for me.
The battlefields may end up being good, but if they require Crests to enter, they basically become useless for seals. If that is the case you maybe able to do one battlefield a week if lucky, and in that battlefield get 1 or 2 seals you probably don't need.
Also like nms, some of a jobs seals will end up in one of the omg how do we beat this battlefield and those jobs will get screwed. I hope they think this through, which I know they won't because they never do.
Battlefields should be on a timer, can do one a game day maybe.
I could agree with this IF: The seal you got, you could trade into the seal you wanted. This "random" seal we got going on has gotten me sitting on tons of seals that I dont want. For every 20 seals, I get the one I need, wich seems like such a waste; ;
0-1 in a low man party seems too litle compared to the other choices we have :/
Maybe the answer to the seal problem would be add some sort of currently that all bosses drop that can be turned in for seals. For example: you can go kill the mushroom boss in Vunkerl for WAR DNC DRG THF seals directly, but each kill would also have a guaranteed drop of one foot token which you could then turn in 4-5 foot tokens for the AF3 feet seal of your choice. This would give people who do not need seals from that boss an incentive to help those that do. It would also give people who have already gotten all the seals off a particular boss an incentive to stay and help the rest of the party get what they need.
Secondly: Please significantly increase the drop rate on AF3 boots or give people a reason to go XP in scars (and visions) zones again.
I agree it could work like assult points or something.
I do not understand abyssea names, to me it is just abyssea. I like to get exp from the first 3 abyssea zones because I hate running for OPs and such.
but I have too much exp... abyssea is too easy exp ( I am really starting to dislike getting exp while farming for gear, maybe would been ok if exp only goal was not so fast)
Teugghia. I had to look her up lol. Killed that dozens of times a THF, WHM, BLM, (DRK). I admit though, I fudging hated it. If it wasn't for my WHM being so good I'd of died a lot during the whole... TP Move > CHAINSPELL shit that happened.
Thankfully, Due to my SB/agi set, She rarely TP moved unless we were trying to trigger Yellow. I think we were after DRK/DRG body the most, I think we saw maybe 2 DRG? got all 10 DRK, 10BLM, and i got 4NIN for my (at the time) 75NIN. Even picked up a few DRK seals myself for my (at the time) 66DRK.
I admit, She is a skank though >.>
Excuse me madam
They already have a Check system in place. It checks which jobs you currently have below level 50, And gives you seals for that only :D
.... :D

Saddly I honestly believe this.
While not particularly good at the moment, they could become more useful in the future when the game shifts back out of abyssea. +25 magic accuracy for enfeebles (more for white magic enfeebles) is kind of a lot. For nukes, there might end up being some situations where Parsimony nukes are useful again and +15 magic accuracy is helpful.
I still think that stagger effect needs to be more evenly spread out with in the 20 jobs more so then it is now. Most ppl who do not want this are very use to doing low man runs as in 2-3 person runs so they can get there items much faster. Why not just add in bcnm version of all nm in abys that have no stagger at all but have an equal to slightly lower drop rate then thought poped by triggers in abys. Sadly abys only become about can you stagger or not if you cant your gimp if you can your good.
As someone who has basically an inactive LS, and not many in-game friends who play anymore I like the idea of making seals more readily available or easier to obtain. It's been a pain trying to get them and I still do not have any for a single one of my primary jobs. I would LOVE if they would make them trade-able (not AH-able). I have several that a couple of my in-game friends could use and they have several I could use.
They need to add more then one option when farming Empyrean weapon upgrades. This stuff should be instanced that would solve everyones problems.
Like others have said, I hope this doesn't mean that we'll have to bring more people along to guarantee various weakness procs. I think a good solution would be to have weakness trigger-able by the old set of standards, plus something from a new set at the same time. Example = Aolean Edge being interchangable with cyclone for a red trigger. I'm aware of that particular example being useless, but it was the only thing I could think of at the time. (Better example is Tachi: Yukikaze being interchangable with Freezebite)Quote:

As it is you've painted a nearly negligible aspect as being the basis for these new battlefields existence. No one is going to be flocking to these things for a chance at 0~1 seals, so that should have been a side note, not the main thrust.
Sorry you feel that it was misleading the first time, Daremo. Each time we post official info, we strive to present all the details accurately. As always, we'll keep an eye out in the future to make sure things are put in the proper perspective.
Hopefully the post from Camate will go a long way to avoid any confusion going forward!
As seals currently weigh heavy on the minds of many, I can understand the desire to set that out front. Such things happen. Please continue to do your best, as I, and hopefully the playerbase, will try to read your words clearly and without misapprehension. Thank you for your hard work.
Is there really any reason to imply that people are mentally handicapped morons? Do you know these people that you can assume that? Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, it certainly doesn't give you the right to call them such. Please keep this kind of verbage out of your posts. This is just a game when all is said and done.
So, new battlefields? Sounds like our Kindred's Crest and High Kindred's Crests are finally going to have a purpose.
LMFAO 40 k crests for seal u can't use i see the flaming comin now hahaha
Empyrean +2 items will be made obtainable from notorious monsters in additional Abyssea areas as follows:
* Heroes of Abyssea area items will also appear in Scars of Abyssea.
* Scars of Abyssea area items will also appear in Vision of Abyssea.
this could be good ovni or brair and other red trigger mobs (ki pops) needed to spawn end bosses dropping seals or +2 items might actually get more people together easier for pops for glavoid etc
Realize that the developers have some wish to have something to unveil, so they don't want to list every single detail of a planned whatever. By the same token, if the developers wish feedback from the playerbase to help flesh out ideas and the like prior to implementation the playerbase needs enough detail to comment intelligently on what is in the works.
It's a difficult line to walk, I know, and I don't envy anyone the task.
I hope they have some really good stuff planned outside abyssea :D
I'm just wondering how a game can have balance when they put things like weaknesses in the game and only allow a few jobs to proc every weakness where others can proc only a few.
SE is working on fixing it now, but did they not think about it when they first thought of the idea?
