Dropped that forever ago. I'm hoping that I won't regret the fact that I dropped tons of other old gear. Not that it matters. If any significant, game-breaking changes ever occurred to outdated equipment, it's nothing considerably difficult to re-obtain. Sure maybe some things take a little extra time to camp, but it wasn't challenging in any way. Much like the old king camps with 21-24 hour respawns, I went, I saw, I got my free points, and during this time I was able to read, play other games, cook dinners, and best of all enjoy my beer. :)

emm you could say that from almost any gear against the Empy +2, so this thread would be useless altogether by that logic -.- And I would take the SAM look any time if it means to change the look of the robe.

If we were going to reskin the YYR, reskin it to look like either Yuna's robe (FFX) or Rydia's gear (FFIV)! Not that I expect there to be a lot of reskinning going on. It would be a lot of effort for very minimal effect, which makes it very unlikely, given the responses already given by the dev team. (At the same time, the community has already done some reskinning of things on their own (against EULA, of course) and and I wonder if SE has ever looked at just integrating some of what they did? Seems like copying some of that stuff would be much less time consuming than developing new ones on their own.

Adamantoise Statue needs upgrade! The turtle is too small. :P

This actually, They should let us Upgrade those Job necklaces :) They all had some really good concepts behind them.

Also, I must be the only SMN alive who loved how Yinyang robe Meshed with the rest of my armor. Truthfully i once saw this neat .dat online once of "Fenrir's Robe" it was YYrobe model in Fenrir's colors. It was neat, even has his glow.

Either way, SMN should still get it, If only for the BP Delay. I think YYrobe is one of the best pieces for BP Delay (-5? i think, thats 33% of your BP delay cap).

I would actually like some of the more exotic equipment alternatives brought up to be competitive once more. I felt just a bit special when I was the 1 in 1000 DDs to wear a divisor ring rather than a sniper+1. Anything from assaults or mmm (among hundreds of other items I'm sure) would qualify since it is excruciating to get them to drop.

Can agree New gear would be wonderful. I Think SE is allowing some old gear to be Augmentable because of some of the complaints about it becoming outdated.

I don't really share that complain, When i hit 80 I was all too happy to dispose of the same gear i had been wearing for years. (Well, not Dispose, its all stored now).

Some items i still keep on for Sentimental reasons like my Sirroco Kukri, But i won't be upset if they never upgrade them. I personally love new armor, New designs/etc. Something new to look at and fit into a Set.

While you at it...Bahamuts Staff as well.

Why not just have it were you collect jewels or crystals or something that give stats differnet colors for different stats and different sizes for higher or lower stat boost. You can add it to any piece of armor or weapon or items like rings you toss the jewels or or crystals or whatever into a synergy furnace then toss the weapon armor or whatever into it also push a button and walla that stat is added. If you ask me that is what synergy should of been about you still make all your armor and weapons with the other crafting skills like woodworking and smithing you just improve it with synergy. If they did this with all armor that can be collected and made or bought then there would be tons of variety in end game gear people would wear what they want not what everyone if cutting each others throats in hnm or event eareas to get. I would also like to see a coloring system were armor you like the look of you can change the color pattern of i would like to see kaiser set made gold or blue or even better gold with blue underlay. what would be another nice thing to do is be able to remove penalty stats off armor or even reverse them

I have to agree on Thief's Knife and Valk's Fork. One just because the low DMG is awful and of course the Fork is a beautiful weapon. I wouldn't care if it kept the same stats but god just let us upgrade the base DMG

I'd at least like the Shiva's Shotel model to be re-used on a useful sword for 90+

Do kinda hate how rare the shotel Model is.

After spending 13 months running a limbus shell and dealing with all the whining emo BS that pops up for the leader of an endgame shell, I'd kinda like my Homam gear to be relevant again. I worked so hard to get it, and now it's been replaced by things I can buy off the AH or solo in abyssea. I get the whole new gear is better let the past go argument, but I had to drag 30 other people through limbus run after limbus run, kicking and screaming, by my teeth to get that armor and it sucks so much that it's been replaced so easily. SE told us waaaaaay back when the lvl cap increases were first announced that we'd be able to upgrade our current gear to be comparable to the new gear, and I've been holding onto my limbus gear eagerly awaiting what I might be able to do with it.

With 30 people you should've been finishing an Omega set every run <_<

All I really want is a reskin for Optical Hat ... IMO its the biggest gear injustice that we have ever had in this game. A head piece that is still to this day one of the best pieces for evasion has the ugliest model in the game.

SE: Please reskin Optical hat to something cooler ... You can use the trader's chappeau model and just change the red areas to black. ...in fact send me the file and I will do it for you ... it will only take me like 2 min in photoshop.

I'd LOVE to be able to upgrade old stuff to be "comparable" (could still be slightly inferior, I don't care) -- we used to have 92394023840 pieces of gear at Lv.75, sidegrades galore!

Especially the melee WHM stuff, since ... well ... it's kinda my thing. :)
Plus, Reverend Mail looks really special (like SMNs in SAM gear!)

But at least I went 1/1 on every blu spell when blu was released.
I want my YYR to be upgradeable and my Bahamut's Staff I worked painfully to get when V2 was released.
Actually all the Bahamut Gear. If SE isn't going to give SMN's the ability to summon him because they revere him and don't want to lessen his stats, why does his gear he drops equate to garbage thanks to Magian and AF3?

god the lag they made was horrible too just by standing on top of me.

I know people would like lots of key drops off old stuff upgraded like riddle , zenith gear, AF+1, relic +1 other weapons that are droped like v fork. (if you have relic+1 upgrade matts in dyna it could help bring life in it) same with af+1 and limbus. upgradeable homan and the other set.

Personally, I know i Don't share this Opinion, But i'm happy Destroyers died and left. they were like W.Turbans, you just got tired of looking at em XD

Also, I think i would laugh if Heart Snatcher ever got an upgrade. It will be an ironic twist. Cause god that weapon has caused me so much rage back at 75.

make the gear from it not be crap with upgrades (99% of it was crap at 75)

revise some of the sets that are out there to be compatible with jobs that were introduced after the armor/weapon were. i.e. was it intentional that pup gear suck that much?

I'm seriously just Happy that I'm mithra when i play PUP, since Mithra RSE (body/feet anyway) are decent armor for PUP. But i'm screwed on bout everything else cause PUP is on like, Nothing but Fking Mage armor.

Why am i On SEER's Tunic when i have 0MP? If SE wanted PUP to sit back and be a Back-line-Skank they could have given us MP/basic spells. Instead the only distinctive thing about PUP is h2h skill. No magic, nothing else. (aside from Automaton) Yet its on Nothing but Mage gear through all the early levels =.=a

Been wearing Empress Hairpin, Aega's Doublet, Combat Mittens (Thank got these were added), Herder's Subligar, and RSE feet(Mithra), and from the looks of it, I'll be wearing those into a select few macro pieces of AF...

Any Salvage, Limbus, and Abjuration gear should receive moderate improvements through a trial-like system which allow them to be on the same level with AF3+1 gear.

For example:

Homam Manopolas +1
DEF:30 HP+35 MP+35 Accuracy+8
Enmity+5 Haste+5%
Lv.90 THF/PLD/DRK/DRG/BLU

Comparable, yet not superior to most AF3 items.

I would like something like the Above, But i think since that Blog-post it seems clear We'll probably be augmenting that crap through Synergy :(

Though i wouldn't mind to get my Homam Pants out of my Dusty Storage...
