remove soul pyres from the game, give bayld for killing things

Maybe if you wanted to keep the whole get a puzzle prize for killing maybe instead of just having them appear you occasionally get some kind of points for killing mobs which then when you go back to town to say the mummers guild and use those points to play some kind of mini-game puzzle for prizes

Exactly this. Soul pyres were a nice idea, but they just don't work as they are currently implemented.

Making the game easier won't really do much to make players open more of them.
Better rewards for opening them, definitely.
Soul Spectacles currently give a guess for free. Change that to instant unlock of a soul pyre.
in other words, make Soul Spectacles for Soul Pyres like Forbidden Keys are for Sturdy Pyxides.

This also gives people a reason to play those mini-games while standing in town occasionally.
